We shouldn't sign a player just for his set pieces because what usually happens is that the quality of those set pieces deteriorates the moment he puts on a Liverpool shirt, or we simply do not win enough free kicks in the attacking third. What we're then left with is a player whose other deficiencies make him a liability in our team.
