Could be the club trying to prise him away from commentating for BT. If thats the case then bravo. I don't see the point in having plain commentators. Him, Alan Smith etc. He might have been a cunt but at least Andy Gray was half interesting. Imagine him commentating that Gerrard Olympiakos game

For me, his failed status is not just about going to the mancs which obviously was a shit thing to do and severed ties, but long before that, the way he left to RM in the first place, said he'd be signing a new contract, allowed us next to no money for one of the best strikers in Europe and showed he was more bothered about himself and his England career than us.

 

In short, I stopped liking the prick long before he had anything to do with United and he can get to fuck.

Just think after listening to him recently, its still all about Michael Owen he's always talking about himself what he did how he scored this one and that never hear him say he probably shit on the support by joining United,but a guarantee would be that most supporters would still like to meet him. This is a shit thing to make him an ambassador though and to think that its our money going into the greedy bastards pockets, boycott him if you feel strong enough its a poor decision.
