A year ago you'd go into this knowing we'd absolutely destroy a defence with Richard Dunne and Clint Hill in it. Now we haven't really got the pace to really get behind them as Lambert's probably as slow. The slowest full back in the league and we leave Ibe and Markovic on the bench. Slowest centre back in the league and we play Ricky Lambert.

Hopefully Gerrard can take this one by the scruff of the neck and make the most of his last couple of home games.

I took a 7 month sabbatical from footy before kenny came back and have been considering fucking it off once Stevie goes as my last idolised player. If they do fly that banner over the ground today, I'm out. The game is a shell of what it used to be, unrecognisable and stomach churning. I'll leave it to the banner flying, team switching, Sky watching cunts.

BBC reporting that it's flown over the ground already.

You're right, it's an increasingly shitty sport and it's regrettable that cretins like that are among our number.

Let's find out who did it before pointing fingers.

As for the game...

QPR corner not defended and they had the ball in the net. It was low and right across, should have been cleared. Goal not given because the ball went out, but we were unconvincing.

Sterling has taken a couple of heavy challenges too. The whole thing is sort of flat at the moment. Understandably so. But I hope somehow something happens to get this going.
