Qatar World Cup decision could be based on backhanders claims shocking report

The FA claim they knew the bidding process was corrupt and yet, instead of resigning from it and shouting it from the rooftops, they chose to remain part of the process. Mainly because they were busy giving Jack Warner (a prince among corrupt FIFA officials) hand jobs and helping to arrange for his family to obtain UK visas.

The FA can spare me their hypocrisy.

You'd think they'd have been impressed if anything. In the same way that Ben Johnson would doff his cap to Lance Armstrong.

FIFA don't care about workers rights in Qatar, they don't care about fucking up the European league season, they don't care about fans and players potentially dying from the extreme summer heat in Qatar, in fact FIFA don't very much care about football. What FIFA officials care about the most is money. And Qatar have lots of it. So they'll do whatever Qatar tell them to do as long as FIFA officials get their $$$

Four coppers have been killed in Brazil's 'crime ridden slums' © BBC in recent days in the latest raids as part of the 'urban pacification programme' which begun the preparation for the World Cup and Olympics. Anyone who's seen elite trooper knows this basically means coppers in black uniforms with skulls on their insignia going in with M16s and cracking heads to make way for 'the world' to see what a nice place it is.

Global sport, bringing people together.

Yep, this was kind of my point.

Tom, my point isnt that there shouldnt be outrage, it's that the outrage is for the wrong reasons.

Over the last 20 years in particular, hosting rights for major sporting events have increasingly been awarded to countries that lack the infrastructure necessary, because there is a lot of money to be made in setting up that infrastructure. It's a fantastic way to launder money. Authorities like the IOC and FIFA will tell anybody who will listen about how the hosting of their major events is a catalyst for economic growth in those countries as well as bringing people together from all over the world and other such bollocks, and yes while those countries might well now have some proper motorways, rail networks, airports, hotels and communication networks, those are but a mere accidental by-product of the amount of money being made and handed out amongst the rich. The poor will still be forced to stump up a large proportion of the cost for things from which they stand to benefit very little, if at all.

And I always find it curiously funny when in the build-up to the bidding process and then the event itself, the country's authorities will go to extreme lengths to try and project a positive image of their country. It's as if all of a sudden they are ashamed of the true image of their country when having previously turned a blind eye to or exacerbated the very problems that gave their country this negative image in the first place.

So essentially FIFA, 5 years after deciding to host the World Cup in Qatar, have come to the conclusion it's probably a bit silly to play football outdoors somewhere that is nearly as hot as the sun?

No flies on those fuckers.

Yes, but they had a task force to tell them. A task force.

Have you got a task force? No? Pffft. I suggest you sit down and carry on planning your next murder.

Apt analogy since I've said before that Pat McQuaid is probably the closest thing to Blatter in terms of how much of a stranglehold he had on his sport and how much damage he was allowed to do to it.  At least that fat corrupt cunt was finally shown the door so who knows, maybe one day Uncle Sepp will also get the push that he so richly deserves.  Ideally it will be delivered when he's standing on the edge of a railway platform.

I can't believe there hasn't been more a kick off from the US, Australia and Japan, given the bidding was on the proviso of a summer World Cup, hence why you had Qatar coming out with all that bollocks about air conditioned stadia in the first place.

Australia has made only weak mewling noises because they not only paid out millions but paid them either to various wideboys who were trousering much more from everyone else or conmen who just fucked off with the dosh. The Aussie FFA head is a slander slander defame slander fuckwit who thought he could outwit the big boys

Everybody involved in bidding for a World Cup is stained by their mere participation given the intrinsically corrupt nature of the organisation responsible for the process.

Let's face it, England's claim to the moral high ground essentially amounts to 'Well we only spent a bit on gifts and incentives compared to everybody else and it was really unfair that the one guy we thought we had bought turned out to be an even more venal cunt than we previously suspected.'

There's only one way that the member countries could ever take a stand against FIFA's corruption and that is for none of them to bid to host the 2026 World Cup, citing a refusal to waste their Football Association's funds on lining the pockets of executives at the expense of the game.

Exactly, they're all guilty by association and the very fact Blatter is still stinking the place out and that UEFA won't grow a pair is a damning indictment of just how ingrained the culture of corruption must be at top.

FIFA have confirmed that the 2022 World Cup final will be played on 18th December.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31975274

Qatar 2022 World Cup: Final confirmed as 18 December

Fifa has confirmed that the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar will take place on 18 December.

A Fifa taskforce recommended last month that the tournament should be switched from summer to winter.

The decision to hold the final on 18 December means Britain's traditional Boxing Day club matches on 26 December can still take place.

In another key decision, Fifa has chosen France to host the 2019 women's World Cup ahead of South Korea.

Just watched Blatter on the news. Mind boggling arrogance of the cunt . Hasn't bothered to submit any manifesto for his bid to be re-elected and wants to be judged on his record,

He should be judged in a court of law on his record. He's now saying that the WC in Russia will bring the troubled region together as football is the biggest unifying force in the world.

Sepp Blatter saviour of the fucking planet, bringer of world peace. He is completely gaga and without doubt delusional . The  Adolf Hitler of football
