Tony Barrett - #LFC have made a final offer to Inter Milan for Coutinho but their bid has been restructured rather than raised.

Ah the old car salesmen trick, sure we can take a bit off the price (we'll add it over here and you might not notice).

I have no idea who Coutinho is and I have no interest in finding out either before I see him in a red shirt.

I wonder how many wanted us to sign him before he was linked with us though?

Numero obviously, but he knows every footballer on the planet and is on another level than us mere mortals.

Thats the advantage of having several personalities I guess.

I wouldn't say, I wanted us to sign him, because there are loads of players who I'd like us to sign if we could.

But I have been impressed by him when I have watched him play. I saw him for some games under Benitez when he was at Inter and thought he was exciting.

A bizarre reversal from your normal egomaniac routine. I quite like your faux inferiority.

Fancy knowing a player from the European cup winning Inter. There's this player, Messi, you should check him out.

Tancredi Palmeri on Talksport saying that we'll be raising our offer to £11M over the weekend and that Inter will wait until Monday for Southampton to offer more, if not then he's ours. A few things to consider:

a) this fella is full of shit.

b) the more 'reliable' of the British journos are all insisting that we are offering £8M in a restructured deal.

Seems to me as though Inter have no option but to accept £8M from us so they're leaking stuff to make it look like a good deal for them.

It is tedious but that's just how it works isn't it?

We can't afford to throw money around willy nilly - every penny counts for us so i'm glad to see us playing hard ball.

The one good thing to come out of the Dempsey 'deal' is that clubs know that we won't be held to ransom. Inter need the money and he's set his heart on us.
