He didn't win. Covid and his partying was his nemesis. Brexit is being shown for what always threatened to be ; an expensive 

exercise in keeping out Johnny Foreigner . Most people know we need workers from the EU. They can see inflation ripping a hole in their pockets and to cap it all energy bills are higher than the rest of the EU. I don't think any of these outcomes are what he set out to do.  He definitely hasn't won, nor will he imo.

It will be sold as a stitch up and when Sunak spends billions and still they come and the Tories get wiped out they will reach for the only winner they perceive they have left. Again backed by lies and false promises Johnson the man of the ordinary man shall once again run. Sounds far fetched but if someone had told you several years ago the state of politics the US would find itself in you would have thought it was a wind up. These are strange new times.

I'm not saying there is no scenario where Johnson gets the nod to pull the Tories out of the fire, I just think it's far more likely he's a busted flush, albeit still lobbing grenades at Sunak from a safe distance and pandering to the Daily Heil faithful

Labeling people as Daily Mail idiots is a wide fucking spectrum. Just as likely to be a tosser from Stoke as a retired Dr from Surrey. Much as we can disagree with their views in a democracy they are entitled to them. As such they will look for someone who represents those views and has a bit more profile than John Redwood. The likes of Redwood and Mogg know they are not up to facing the public and will hang their flag on someone they perceive as a winner. Not because they respect the individual but he gives them power by association.
