They had some troubles a few years ago resulting in relegation. Now while its no where near that bad here, he's seen a big club knocked to their knees only to dust themselves down and climb back to their feet and rediscover their power. Maybe he would want to be part of the same here.

The old romance in football isn't dead to some players.

That is my hope anyway.

Not sure where to start with that really, mate. The fact that they weren't relegated is probably a good place. They came close, but he wasn't in close to the first team then. He moved up under Klopp in 2009/10. They've won the league since then.

Whilst I hope you're right, as I'd love him, you are being a bit wishful!

Ah - im getting a bit mixed. They were almost relegated - spent a few years in the wliderness and then got Klopp - who was relegated with Mainz.

My mistake. I blame chocolate

Madrid v United in the CL

Arsenal v Bayern

Celtic v Juventus

Fergie won't be happy with that. He's had his annual easy group, and he was expecting his annual kind draw in the knock outs. He'll be demanding extra penalties in the league to compensate for the dismal treatment he's received in Europe.
