Declaring on day one of a test match against a better side is utter lunacy, there’s just no argument that supports it.

So you wanted a draw?

That's exactly what's generally fucked England up against Australia throughout the history of Test Cricket.

Apart from the weather (easily could have lost more play based on the day one forecast) and the need to try and ensure the game went to a win/loss, rather than risk a draw.

They'll be annoyed, but a loss doesn't change much for England, it would have totally upturned the Aussie plans (not that they aren't good enough to stand up to that).

If we had taken our chances first innings we would have had more of lead than if we hadnt declared, so Id say that was more of a factor.

Strange that Jimmy didnt get a bowl makes you wonder if he has a problem and thats why they held off taking the new ball. Broad looked knackered at the end.

I'll take 4 more test like this though hopefully with beter results

Probably not, I watched him live get out immediately in a world cup final but he was ok for the Strikers.

I was more referring to 300s in Test Cricket, but yeah he was completely responsible for that World Cup Final defeat - after playing a huge part with his irresponsible attacking brand of cricket, to get them to that final.

Prefer it to a defeat like. As Jairzinho has said the new style is fine, maybe just not go full kamikaze

Ha, fuck off you tit.

It was a really close game between two sides with completely different styles. Of course both sides were both in the game throughout, your comment was ridiculous.

No idea what you're on about but OK.

I'd more just say that I love Test Cricket, above all other allegiances.

And that includes not giving a fuck who's arguably up or down during the course of the game - but rather just enjoying it - and then being happy enough with whoever deservedly comes out on top.

So frankly, don't express my opinions for me, sunshine.
