German press have said Barrios will be more than likely leaving Dortmund today. Against Hoffenheim at the weekend he waved at the Dortmund fans in a way that suggested he was saying goodbye after been given a 15 minute run out after the game was done and dusted. Dortmund have said themselves they are prepared to do talks if their 10 million Euro price tag is met. No names in the German press, just saying teams from Spain and England are interested. Another report says he was missing from training yesterday and the club said it was due to an injury, but the paper claims he was given the time off to finalise details of a transfer with a club from England.

Numero, did you really need the veiled dig at andy carroll?

Huh? Is it not standard practice to compare the player coming into the side with the player already there? If Andy Carroll was scoring the goals his price-tag dictates he should, we'd likely not be on the hunt for other players to fill the void.

Yeah, I think there's a need to see if the player coming in can do his job better than the one he's coming in to do the job of. It's not a dig, it's realism. Carroll has been poor and we need somebody to score more goals than him if we want to climb the table.

Why are you so concerned with what people way about Carroll? Is he some shrinking violet who we need to pretend isn't one of the worst signing in the history of football?

It's a real shame to see Kevin De Bruyne sign for Chelsea. I'd expect that he'll play a big role for them over the next 5 years. They got an absolute bargain there.
