Why do you reckon?. I think if he doesnt get some serious money to spend his heart wont be in it.

I think if he doesn't do well or walks away Everton wont know which way to turn because they've hired so many managers now and they've all been sacked. He's the best they could get, even though his time at Napoli ended badly

Back when it went off the rails with Rodgers, there were a lot of people saying "we can't just keep changing manager". The bonus for us at that point is we had a manager without any track record and of course we could change by replacing him with someone better who knew how to win. Everton on the other hand have tried the up and coming manager, they've tried the british merry-go-round manager, they've tried the good foreign manager with a red Christmas tree, they've had the solid British up and at them type manager. None of them fit - well except the latter and they didn't want him back as he joined the merry-go-round gang and didn't treat them like he was still Everton manager when he was working in Salford. It's like they don't know what type of manager they want. When Silva was struggling this season there were still blues who were like some Liverpool fans were back then "we can't just keep changing manager". Well they have and they've also managed to get someone who's managed at the top of the game. They couldn't have hired a better manager. But of this doesn't work, they have nowhere to go.

Awful challenge from Calvert-Lewin earlier, could easily have been sent off.  Jumped in to a scissor tackle at speed.

Yeah, o don't know how he got away with that. On the bright side it means he's available for the derby.

I'm still baffled why he went there. I dont think he had many other offers but he must have been fed some grand idea by moschiri and big gay Bill as well as topping up an already healthy bank balance.

He'd run out of available top clubs. He's 60, so just be looking toward retirement. He'd have had to wait for a big job to open up. Everton had offered him 11.5m per year and a 2.5m bonus if he kept them up. So if he does and they do ok, by June he'll have earnt maybe 10m and someone might come in for him, if not, he's another 11.5m for the next 12 months. If he went and got them relegated which at his age might mean it's his final job, he'd walkaway with maybe 7m salary and they'd have to pay him off which would likely be around a years wages. So he does 18.5m by June. It seems the perfect job for a man heading into retirement. That doesn't mean ancelotti won't want to make it work, it just means it's hard to see a downside considering his options.

You dare to neglect Dunc? Some people just have no respect!

You don’t have to throw away a three goal lead to Liverpool in a European Cup Final to be an Everton manager but he did throw away a three goal lead to Liverpool in a European Cup Final.

That is being saved by their looney fans for when they turn against him. He genuinely is their last hope of getting in a top tier manager who can actually improve their standing as a club. The first thing he should say is 'Fuck a new stadium! I need that money for players.'

He's too good for them to be fair so they've done well getting him in. Hopefully they have a good run and can win a few games and maybe a cup as long as it's not at our expense. It would be interesting to see them get some relative success and if they could enjoy it, if their bike and fume would soften.

He’s primarily a cup manager. If he were to steer them into the Premier League top 10 and deliver either domestic cup to Goodison, he would go down as an all-time legend.

He only needs to get a draw at Anfield for that status.

Even the opposition players are in on the conspiracy.............

Player Valuation: £70m
Too many players in too many teams are Kopites. Another convenient slip to go with all the deliberate handballs, last minute kicks in the penalty area, goalkeeping errors, blatant misses from opposition strikers (Danny Ings). The media want them to win it, the tv companies want them to win it, most of the refs want them to win it, most opposition players want them to win it, most of the politicians even support them, and the majority of arm chair fans around the world indoctrinated by the kopite dominated news channels want them to win it. It’s no surprise that they therefore will win it now that VAR is there to catch all the bad performances and let Jurgen’s needles take care of the rest.

Why do they all wear long sleeves? Something to hide on the arms?
Every single one of them. They went away to the club World Cup, extra games, loads of travelling, then came back and ran over the second placed team in the league on their own patch like they were a lower league outfit. The best teams in premier league history haven’t been able to do that as consistently (every single time) as this team. But maybe the likes of Henderson and Milner are just that good and Klopp knows something that managerial geniuses like Ferguson Wenger Mourinho Conte etc. never did.
