I'd love to see suso and sterling get appearances in this fixture. Start integrating them more into the first team throughout the rest of the season. If you're good enough, you're old enough..

I'd still take 4th (for practical reasons) over the trophy if offered a straight take-it-or-leave-it choice, but I want both. And I want us to go into every game we play league or cup trying to win, no eye on the next game (be it league or Europa). Winning tends to breed winning, and shite tends to breed shite.

 

And the small matter that this is completely in our hands, 4th place isn't.

Unfortunately I don't think we can afford to rest players like Kuyt, Maxi, Lucas and one or two others when the alternatives are Jovanovic and Poulsen.

 

I'd bring Pacheco in for Suarez and maybe Aurelio for Maxi and N'gog for Kuyt.

I voted for suarez and carroll even though it's the least credible entry by some distance. Shame it's 100% unlikely as it's my strong preference. Need to get those two together asap.
