Im actually surprised it hasnt been mentioned more to be honest.

 

A world class striker,young,and quite possibly in our price range (£18-£22 million??).

 

I do believe given a real run in that Madrid team he would be awesome, raw talent suffering from lack of confidence imo, could be a steal come January and really hope he is the type of player we go for.

 

At Lyon i do remember watching him in a free type of role,running channels,dropping deep so i do believe he would be able to play alongside Torres as well as deputising as a lone striker like you saw him for France last night.

 

Anyway..heres to hoping!

Personally I don't really rate Benzema. He has done fuck all since he left Lyon.

He will be value for money and could be more than a decent back up. With his contract situation at Wigan I can see him going for a cheaper price.

Benzema's actually been playing a fair bit as sub recently and looking good with it, Jose seems to have his confidence growing. The thing is, Kaka will be back soon and that will more than likely see Ozil and Di Maria rotated more, meaning less time for Karim.

 

I can see Benzema, Gago or Granero leaving in January as I think they need space in the squad.

 

I'd love to see Benzema or Granero in our side. Both VERY talented players that could adept well.
