How do we move forward as a club ?

I don't feel angry at today's defeat, I just have an empty feeling inside.

Our club is rotten to the core. We are a mess both on and off the pitch and I cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel.

This season is a write-off ,and I think we need to all focus on ousting the owners for the good of the club.

Now is time to protest inside the ground.

We can't carry on like this.

I knew this would happen, yet I feel worse than I thought I would.

It's just fucking depressing

It is depressing Ant.

I don't get annoyed at losing games anymore, but I do get angry at what is happening to our football club.

Something has got to give because our club is a joke.

I dont feel empty, i feel frustrated that yet again we put out a negative set up which was never in a million years gonna win at old trafford.

Did rafa not think that alex would expect that line-up. cause i sure as hell did!

The line-up was so predictable. Dirk was shite apart from setting the goal up, insua was absolutely bollox and as anticipated valencia gave him a nitemare.

Where do we go from here?

Well rafa still does not seem to know how to play positive football. The worst thing that happened today, was that we took the lead. The usual negative, lets hang on to what we've got, kicked in.

What a fuckin nitemare of a season this has been.

1 attempt on target (the goal) says it all.:wallbutt:

this is about more than the owners. its about the team rafa's built. too much shit. sack him now, let a manager come in now, assess the players and have a massive clear out in the summer.

get rid of a few reserve keepers, degen, insua, lucas, kuyt, babel, riera, maxi, el zahr, n'gog and start again.

I don't think it was a great performance by any means, but we were away to, like it or not, one of the best teams in Europe. It's the toughest fixture in the calendar so I think a bit of perspective is needed.

That said a decision on management will need to be made in the summer, but ultimately it may prove pointless while we still have the same custodians.

The only way out is new owners which i dont see happening,or sell torres and gerrard pay debt, off start stadium and have a shit couple of years .I think our star men are going anyway cause we wont finish 4th and that means they will be short of cash equals no big signings equals no ambition bye bye torres .FUCKING YANKEE BASTARDS WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE TO OUR CLUB

Numb, that's what I feel these days.

The club is rotten. Bringing in more LBO specialists this summer after a short term fix will merely paper over the cracks.

I believe Rafa deserves a chance next season to turn things around, with the backing of a new board. That's my personal opinion which I'm sure many of you will ridicule me for but I'm not arsed. He's made mistakes but I believe he deserves a chance to be judged with the backing of a stable board and club behind him. If that still isn't the case going in to next season, then I wouldn't blame him if he left.

They need to go, full stop. That is our only hope now.

That game was there for the taking, and yet we seemed paralysed going forward - even Torres caught the bug at the end. The club needs shaking up in a big way - both Rafa and the owners need to be replaced, if we start next season with the current regime still in place then we could see the beginning of a Leeds style collapse.

I echo the comments on here - we are rotten to the core sometimes you just pray that this is all just a bad nightmare.

In a way i suppose you are only surprised that this has taken this long to rear its ugly head after all we have been in turmoil in the boardroom since Nov 2007 - 8 months after the owners showed their true colours. Since then constant in-fighting, between owners, manager, chief executive and in recent time some of the players and it is no surprise to see where we are - a club in crisis.

Now it is time for the fans to stand up - boycotts, banners, setup a picketing line before the remaining home games, etc whatever it takes or else the alternatives could be wandering around in the wilderness for a decade whilst we pay off all this debt.

For the record SoS really has to step up their game because frankly their efforts have been incredibly disappointing - to the point where i think members of this forum have made more impact in removing these owners. You say the Green & Gold as an emblem for the removal of the Glazers and yet we STILL have not got any distinct identity to signal the support behind the movement to get rid of these owners.

Obviously disapointed with the defeat, I'm trying to think positive if we dont get 4th then hopefully then the club will be sold.

Either way though with the squad of players available and the money thats been spent in last 3 years(dont start with net spend bollocks) £130m has been spent since Athens, to lose 10 out of 31 league games and be out of 3 major competitions by January and now seems likely no CL football next season, its totally unacceptable and whatever the ownership situation and I pray to God theres a change, the manager is the problem regarding the 1st team, and i would'nt trust him with another penny.

Houllier ultimitley paid for his disasterous signings mainly 2002, but the summer of 2008 was as bad, and last summer while Johnson has been ok, the Aqualani signing has been confusing to say the least, we finished 1 point behind Man united in 2006 and IMO bar the 3 months at the end of last season its been awful, while we've had to watch the mancs win 3 titles 2 league cups and a CL, while playing great football, while week after week we've had to watch defensive shit.

As I said i pray for a change of owners, but hopefully it happens and they change the manager, because whats happening now is Rafa is hiding behind the ownership situation and the owners are getting away it because alot of fans just wana blame the manager, from the owners to the manager the club is rotten, LFC deserves better, lets hope it comes soon, YNWA
