It's quite possible you're right and that I've misremembered, but I'm not going to crawl all over the net looking for an article I read months ago just to prove some insignificant point to you.

Fookin' right it is! It's 100% Tom "Always Correct" Ross nailed on!

Maybe you might take that into consideration next time before you accuse people of being disingenuous, dishonest and all the rest of it.

Rafa can be criticised for a lot of things. Not attempting to sign Gareth Barry isn't one of them.

6 Sotirios Kyrgiakos (Liverpool) - Kyrgiakos became the first ever Greek player to play for Liverpool when he completed a £2m move in August, but it's unlikely they will be heading back to southern Europe any time soon if the defender's performances are anything to go by. Clanger-prone and fan of the odd rash challenge - just ask Everton's Marouane Fellaini who still hasn't recovered from Kyrgiakos' studs in the Merseyside derby - the James Bond baddie lookalike has, oddly, become something of a cult hero at Anfield

1 Alberto Aquilani (Liverpool) - The Italian's summer signing was supposed to soften the blow of losing Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, with a large chunk of the £30m the Reds received for the Spaniard splashed on bringing Aquilani from Roma. But an ankle injury that lasted longer than a James Cameron film delayed his debut and to date he's only played 21 games this season, a mere eight as a starter.

Evidently you must rate Diao, Diouf, Diomede and Dundee.

Add up all their transfer fees and they still cost a fair bit less! Aquilani cost around the same as our record signing and has hardly played, and when he has he's been totally hit and miss. I'll give you Diouf maybe, he's a complete cunt.

If he does come good, he won't be that bad a signing, even if his signing has left us woefully short this season. I think he could be decent if he's used as an attacker. I don't understand playing him deep at all, and I wonder if Rafa is prepared to fit him into his system if it means reprising Gerrard's role. If he does, it could yet work out to be a decent signing, but the signs are not encouraging at all. Strikes me as Robbie Keane mark two.

Can't possibly why the Greek's in there, Aquilani is rightfully first though, he's not produced anything bar cameos against dire opposition to suggest he's anything but a massive waste of money. It's ok though, as soon as he makes a 40 yard pass against West Ham (if by some miracle he's still some where near fit, whatver that may be) we'll have the Usual suapects telling us "anyone with half a brain can see he's class act". When the truth 'anyone with half a brain' can see that the lad is shaping up to be a terrible signing.

Aquilani is the worst signing in the history of LFC.

I was gonna say that Veron was a worse signing for the title of worst prem signing ever, but he, whilst not that great for the mancs, clearly had some talent and did contribute at least something to that Man U team.

Aquilani doesn't have much talent and he hasn't contributed a fucking thing.

in conclusion - Aauilani is very probably the very worst signing in Premiership history.
