What a ridiculous thing to say.

I think Kurt may be exaggerating the point for comic effect, but there is some truth in it. We're all very glad that Kuyt put in a decentish performance and scored a priceless goal, but he's got a long way to go to balance the books - he's been woeful again this season.

If Kuyt does score 20 goals this season, even I wouldn't moan.

What?

I don't think that statement is really open to interpretation, but I have to ask, you're not really blaming this poor season on one player are you?

No

Fuck me.

Not in a million years

Or are you saying the 4 months themselves ruined our season?

Those 4 seasons ruined our season. And during such a period you need your main men to stand up and be counted. Dirk consistently was our worst performer in teams that included youngsters, reserves and squad players with more or less no playing time.

The last few performances has shown that he has abilities. That makes the previous 4 months hard to take and accept.

Either way, in those 4 months all but about two players put in inept displays.

yes that is true... many of them were in and out of the team due to injuries.... Other were in and out of the side covering for those who were injuried...some were recently back from injuries.... But none of them were as consistently rubbish, and certainly noone was/is as undropable as Dirk. But the most significant factor for me was that this was`nt a first for Dirk. He experiences these long patches every season. When Dirk is out of form, he is absolutely useless in an attacking sense. Breaking down more attacks than any opposition defence ever has. I have seen it too many times to let a few goals disguise it.

It's simple, Really I think out of all the fairly recent foriegn players we have managed to keep, dirk has got to be one of the finest, he has a passion for the game and a certain prowess when it comes to playing for l.f.c.

He hasn't been look at me, I'm on 3mill a week so fuck you lot if you dont like it, he beats himself up if he isn't having a good run of games, and tries to prove himself the next game, even tores has his ups and downs but no one slags him off, well not to this degree.:(

The fella is one of kind and has scored some amazing goals for us, he has crap games when old smelly feetez decides to put someone up with him that obviously dosen't get on with him.:wallbutt:
