Defeatist my arse.

No-one has said that we can not go to the final, but the road there just got way harder than it could have been.

I will say that we have a 50/50 chance in the games against Chelsea and Barca. That gives us LESS than 50% chance of reaching the final. If we had got United`s draw we would have a 70-80% chance of reaching the final.

So I think we should be allowed to express a little disappointment in the minutes after a draw like that. That does NOT mean that anyone throw in the towel.

Saying things like it's a fix and the mancs are nailed on is what i was referring to.

I am pissed off but i am not talking about 18-4! That makes me feel sick!

I stuck £20 on us winning the competition with Bet Fred yesterday. The odds yesterday were;

Man Utd 7/2 (joint fav)

Barca 7/2 (joint fav)

Chelsea 6/1

LIVERPOOL 7/1

Can't remember the others but I thought I couldnt pass that up. The mighty Reds, Kings of Europe, with longer odds than the Chavski scum? Granted, you would only get these odds with that manc twat fred done, but even so.

The odds today (after the draw) with the same bookies;

Man utd 7/4 Favourite

Barca 11/4

LIVERPOOL 13/2

Chelsea 13/2

Arsenal 15/2

So therefore, Fred Done thinks our chances of winning the competition have improved after that draw and the chances of chelsea winning it have dwindled.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Fred, you horrible manc twat.

The more I think about it the happier I am, we know we can beat Chelsea then we've got a semi against a european team with the second leg at Anfield. Thats our specialist subject! The arse will do away with the mancs for us then in Rome there will be 70,000 scousers, 5,000 gooners and we'll whip them.

Evertonly disappointed with that draw. On the positive side I expect us to go through and , again, Chelsea won't be in the Semis'. Its just dealing with their gobshite fans at their gobshite stadium with their gobshite flags , their gobshite captain and their gobshite chief executive pisses me off.

Not looking forward to Rome either , if we get there.

"I obviously want Porto followed by Villareal, but we all know what will happen. We'll inevitably get Chelsea or Arsenal; Mancs will without doubt get Porto (and Barca against BAyern?). UEFA wanted Cheslea-Mancs last year; this year they want United-BArcelona in the final."

Remember that last year the q-f draw was correctly posted on a website in full TWO HOURS before the draw, even predicting the order of games and which team would be drawn first out of the hat on each occasion.

UEFA last year were absolutely desperate for Chelsea to be in the final in Moscow. This year, as i posted above, the UEFA big-wigs have been going round telling journalists how a Barca-United final would be ideal.

Anyone who doesn't thin kthis is a fixed draw, think again. I haven't got 'lucky' with that prediction.

Read my message - journalists have been briefed for weeks about UEFA wanting a 'dream' final of United-Barca.

Sorry. Missed your reply.

Missed any reports about UEFA wanting a "dream final" too. Has this been briefed from Platini then? Is there a press release?

OK, I agree it could be fixed, but only could be.

There's one huge hole in anybody's arguments about it being fixed though : they'd be paranoid as hell about being caught, so why the hell would they pair us with Chelsea again, and again, and again? They just wouldn't risk that if it was fixed. Surely not.

Think what you like about the draw in terms of what our gameplans are likely to be and how it affects our chances but for UEFA to have contrived at this stage to get Manure and Barca in to the final is quite frankly laughable.

Don't know why anyone would bother watching, this is the draw:

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Arsenal vs Barcelona

Man U vs Porto

Villareal vs Bayern

if this was the middle ages you'd be half burnt at the stake.

Thats probably the worst possible draw for us and chelsea. They have the advantage of being at home for the second leg but we would've been in the driving seat going down for the second leg last year if ginger had a right foot.

I had a feeling of "we'll take anybody" but as soon as we were drawn at home in the first leg and it was Chelsea i was a bit "oh fuck"

I take encouragement from the fact that we have the better record in Europe and Hiddink has them playing like Mourinho did so that bodes well for us. If we are going to win this we are going to have to beat chelsea at home and stifle them away then either bayern or barca in the semis with the second leg at home. 2 massive games followed by 2 massive games.

Awful being a Liverpool fan at the moment isn't it.
