I have no fear for Lucas... we will beat this lot 2-0 tonight, the key is not to concede.

My prediction!

Chief is a legend already, and a special mention for Kuyt - has a player ever worked as hard as that in a match playing 3 different positions in one match? Nice to see Steve "the problem" Gerrard score an amazing goal (again).

Some pundit ( possibly that Graham Hunter chap) on Sky the other day was saying Liverpool will get destroyed by Inter. They STILL don't get it, do they? Liverpool and the Champions League were made for each other.

Thought Kuyt played well today, apart from his goal. Some good crosses, first touch better, maybe confidence is coming back?

Mascher was boss in the first half.

They couldn't handle crouch when he came on.

Finnan pushed forward well.

Gerrard looks dangerous running from modfield rather than playing just off the lone striker. Excellent goal, couple of great third man runs.

Don't want to tempt fate, but did Inter turn up today? I was looking forward to seeing this awesome machine running away with the Serie A title and unbeaten since 1 AD, but even before Materazzi was sent off they showed very little.

Im just so happy that (hopefully) for a day or two we can focus on something positive, rather than just all the negative shit that surround the club at the moment.

I think everyone involved today played their part. Like everyone else I was hoping Pennant would replace Dirk, but then Dirk popped up with that one. If the players doesnt gain confidence from this, I dont know what will.

Well played!

WHAT A RESULT!!!

Round the 70th minute mark, the substition I feared happened..

I thought it would be what decided the outcome of the match.

If Kuyt was taken off, I was sure we'd win with Babel and Pennant as wingers.

But, of course, as has happened one billion times before, Kuyt stays on and I thought we were doomed. That moment just proved, to my mind, that Rafa will NEVER change. I love Rafa, but he won't change a bit. And I can't understand why Kuyt always stays on.

I almost threw something at the screen in despair when the sub happend, but

Suddenly, 15 minutes later, out of the blue Kuyt gets a goal!

Amazing..

And Stevie's goal, just pure class..

FUCKING GET IN!!

if we can nick a goal in the away, Inter will have MUCH to do to knock us out.

Heck, they have that now too.. YES!!!!

Kuyt does it most games, you usually call him shite for it though.

He had the quality to score today and did well in causing problems today, normally he is a headless chicken without much quality (with all due respect) which is why he gets stick.

Like Rafa saying he wants the team to play "good football".... the reporter is a wanker though.

That was a very good second half from us. We kept going and got our reward when Inter became tired just at the end. Credit to Inter, they defended really, really well.

I just could not understand why Rafa took off Babel instead of Kuyt when he put on Crouch. I got it in the end though, despite it being a lucky goal from Kuyt. Nothing lucky about Gerrard's goal, he just keeps coming up with them. That could turn out to be the most important one he's scored in quite a while.

This is a very good result, I'm fucking made up.
