Is trying to get car insurance the most fucking tedious, boring, mind numbing and annoying thing in the world? I've had loads of quotes from smug twats and I'm fed up of giving the same fucking information over and over again. Even when they give you a shite quote they still make out they are doing you a favour by robbing you blind.

I did last year and ended up with FORTIS who are the shittest company i've ever dealt with about anything.

I worked in an insurance firm for a few weeks as a temp in August quite a few years back (busiest time and all that), I was amazed by how much the basic quote (lowest quote) they can offer is and how much more they do quote. They can often delegate it down a fair whack.

 

You've got to be prepared to do the phoning round to get a good deal. If you've got less than 5 years no claims and are aged under 30 then the chances are you are being ripped off to fuck.

 

I'm sure you doing it anyway but if they ask for your cheapest quote knock a few quid off the true figure. Play them off against each other and plug away.

Just had a 30 minute argument with some prick at FORTIS who i'm insured with at the moment, he says i've lost my no claims bonus - i've never even made a claim! He then turns round to his mate next to him saying "he's shouting at me" I asked him who he was talking to and he said "nobody" So I ripped him even more for being a two faced patronising cunt.
