2023 and in a really crucial game our midfield 3 is Henderson, Milner and Keita.

If there was ever undeniable truth that we need major surgery to our midfield this is it.

All that said lets hope they have enough to help us deal with what is a pretty shit Palace side.

But half-a-brain Gomez is keyed into the Liverpool Way?

His omission from the bench again is just bizarre - Adrian on the bench instead of him against Newcastle.  Plain odd.

Klopp has watched him for years. There is no there there.

It is similar to shouts for Trent in midfield.

I wonder if we can just once go a week without more bodies dropping....down to 2 senior centre halves tonight, so odds on 1 getting injured.

Jürgen Klopp has confirmed both Joe Gomez and Darwin Nunez missed the trip to Crystal Palace due to injuries.

The pair were not included in the Liverpool squad for Saturday night’s Premier League clash at Selhurst Park, having been substituted during the second half against Real Madrid in midweek.

“They are both injured,” Klopp told Sky Sports before kick-off. “So, Darwin had the shoulder problem from the Newcastle game.

“[It] worked out for the Real Madrid game but then [he] got another knock there, felt it again and more so there was no chance for today. Hopefully he can be [back] in midweek again.”
