Jones and Thiago are fuck all use for anything.

 

Elliott was extremely unconvincing in midfield last season and Bajcetic is barely out of short trousers.

 

The three from Sunday look a big upgrade on last season but the midfield in squad terms still looks a mess.

Hearing the club are working tirelessly on signing Lyk Agnew. The Echo have been briefed apparently and they’re readying the numerous articles to be written in the coming days on Lyk Agnew signing.

Including Melo and Carvalho we have let go/sold 8 first team players this summer. We have signed 3. And this was a team that last season struggled heavily because of injuries/lack of squad depth. 

 

We bid £110M+ for Caicedo. We clearly have the funds. So why don't we do more?

That is what happens when the club has a high valuation for players we sell and low valuation for players we buy.

So...Gomez, our injury prone CB, is now our only back up RB at the club and is also our back up CB (for another injury prone CB) alongside another old injury prone CB who had to come off at 70ms the other day because was knackered.
