He and his fanboys in the press have been pushing the narrative that if we don't get top 4 we aren't spending which was getting bandied about a few weeks back after we lost to Wolves. We appear to be the only club in the Premier League who cannot spend money based on not qualifying for the CL despite earning record revenues and being one of the biggest clubs in the world. 

 

Now we've been on a decent run and there's a possibility that we could get the top 4 he's had to move the goalposts to something else to keep the expectation low about spending anything.

 

They hate spending any of their own money and clearly can't afford to compete but he just wants to cling on as long as possible and extract as much money as he can from the club whilst putting next to nothing in. Now he's moaning about spending caps because he doesn't want to invest anything.

Why? Just because he is pissing into the wind, he and everyone else should continue to push it. Whether he is the correct person or not to do it, is a different matter, but this should be put out there all the time and as often as possible. Then perhaps there will be a little change. Keeping hi stupid gob shut will do nothing, perhaps opening it will do a little and that is better than the nothing we have now.
