Said before the game that I was mainly looking forward to seeing what him and Ramsay were all about.

Takes something for a 16 year old to have the bravery and trickery to go past people like that at 0-0 on your debut running towards the Kop End.

I’m looking forward to the inevitable ACL tears, recurring ankle issues, the boy thinking he’s made it after he gets a £5k p/w contract, his drift into obscurity and eventually his life sleeping rough on the streets of Glasgow telling all the other bagheads that he coulda been a contender.

And then just as he thinks he’s reached rock bottom he has to play for Celtic.

He's the best Academy player I've seen in years. Even better than Sterling was at that age. Sometimes that means nothing though. He's got a great chance of becoming something special but being great at 16 doesn't always translate to being great at 19. I think this kid will be though. Sometimes you can just tell.

I was speaking to a Celtic fan when I was up near Glasgow a few weeks back. We got talking football, as you do, and I mentioned Ben Doak to him. He reckons he’s the best prospect to come through the ranks at Celtic in decades.

I’m trying not to get too excited though. I thought Robbie Foy was going to be the business.

Really? I always remember Sterling coming on for his academy debut and flicking the ball over some kids head (in the mini derby?), was just obvious he was so far ahead of his peers.

Haven't seen anything of Doak apart from a couple of highlights, but it's even clearer than that? Awesome.
