We found out he had issues on his medical and signed him anyway. That's what happens when you're skint and need most of the money on the right back you've sold.

As for thiago, echo suggesting no time line but likely to include both Madrid games. I'll be shocked if we see him this side of Easter with his and our record.

I guess that's injuries both ways too. With players missing from the 1st team, players go up too, leaving gaps.

Suppose so but this list is bad...it mirrors the problems at 1st team level and points to an underlying problem at club IMO.

Though ravaged by injuries with Ben Doak, Layton Stewart, Oakley Cannonier, Harvey Blair and Lewis Koumas all out....

with full-backs Owen Beck, Calvin Ramsay and Isaac Mabaya also absent.

There's certainly something we have to question. And at U21 level, they can't be blaming last season.

It’s worse than that as the u18s have been hit with a series of injuries throughout the season. There were several kids drafted in from the u16s to make up the numbers at the weekend once again. You’ve got to think that this is more than just outrageous bad luck?

Very much so - it suggests to me that there is an issue across the club that is feeding into there being so many injury problems at all levels

TIA has Doak and Ramsey injured, hopefully to return in a few weeks.

Echo Doak and Ramsey in tonight's squad.

I hope doak is available tonight. They're going to defend really narrow, so someone who wants to play wide and go past people might be the wild card to make the difference.

The 24 man squad for tonight is:

Allison Kelleher Adrian

Trent Ramsay Matip Gomez Phillips Robertson Tsimikas

Keita Bajcetic Elliott Henderson Jones Milner Fabinho Ox Carvalho

Salah Nunez Gakpo Jota Doak

Only 18 of these will make the matchday squad. I can't see Doak being involved. Obviously Adrian, and probably Ramsay wont be included. Maybe Phillips also but I'd start him just for this one. We have looked very lightweight and suspect at set pieces since Van Dijk's injury, and Dyche will be all over that.

Who else will lose out? It will be telling on what Klopp's future plans are.
