I fell into a Youtube hole watching ITV and BBC coverage of the 1970, 74, 78, 82, 86 and 90 World Cups last night for about two hours.

Clough was a great pundit and Keegan's bubble perm was immense. Generally, the input from players was more thoughtful and considered than it is now, with less of a reliance on video clips.

Really interesting to watch how much people relied on television coverage for information that we take for granted now. In 1970, somebody sent a postcard into Brian Moore asking for some information on Rivelino, and he basically gave an overview of the player and his key statistics and strengths.
