He probably isn't. Shame, I think there is something there. Doesn't seem to have the resolute nature of, for example, Burns though.

TBF to Burns he's looked a lot better as the series has gone on and has tweaked certain things, the lad is obviously learning.

He's probably cemented his place on the winter Tours to NZ and SA. Denly not so much although I wouldn't be surprised to see him included. Hopefully Sibley, Pope and Foakes get a chance. Hopefully sam Curran does well in this test, he's certainly got all the qualities to become a very good all rounder at Test level.

Nasser is a very good analyst and commentator, but I've always got the impression from him from things he's said, that as a captain, he'd throw anyone he didn't like, under the bus.

Definitely agree with that list: maybe Zak Crawley as well, possibly instead of Denly. Even though he's an opener, he could be an answer to the problem number 3 role. Ben Duckett seems too inconsistent.

 

Love to see Ollie Robinson in the squad as well.

Nope, never has been. It's bizarre that he was brought into the squad in the first place, even more so that he's kept his place.
