We went on a boat trip in Ibiza. On the way out of the harbour we passed a yacht called ‘Lel’.  It was £285k a week.  On the way back  we saw new people going on board - unbelievable.

Sailed in and out there a good few times either on ship or on a 4 man. One day on the way back from a sailing excursion (It was blowing a bastard, we were hungover and had already nearly ended up in the water) a Swedish submarine surfaced right next to us. Just nuts to see. I love the Tamar.

A mate was on that, if it's the same one?, must be about 23 years ago I picked her up to go out on Xmas eve, she said where the hell are we going, in a cab turning into the docks and we had a good bevvy on there. 

The mate showed us around, it was bigger than I thought and it was carrying all kinds of stuff like JCBs etc.

Not sure mate, I believe they have stated that they are offering 'generous redundancy packages', but no mention of fire and rehire.

 

Such a sickening situation, I note the parent company paid out £270m in shareholder dividends in 2020. Another example of the average worker being treated as a disposable commodity.

 

We really should be torching parliament about now, but I guess the fight has gone out after 40 years of anti-worker and anti-union legislation.

No. Sub-contracting all the crew work to a company that employs people from poorer countries who will work for less.

Absolute Scum aren't they ,  there isn't a bandwagon they won't jump on if there are votes in the offing .

I've always hated the Tories but this current bunch are the absolute dregs of society.

I was only born in 84 and while I remember snippets and it being a bit grim workwise I refuse to believe that even her government were a snide and self serving as these lot. It’s abhorrent that they get away with it day after day after day. Someone called out Liverpool fans for trying to be “super Scouse” or something for singing fuck the tories. I’ve been on that. One of my mates from training got drafted to it and it was alongside in Pompey for a week or so , he was duty so we ended up in the mess absolutely bladdered. This was 2002 and it badly needed a spruce up then. Great ship.
