The lad played very well against WH.  Probably our best DM performance this season.

I think it helped him having some more seniors in the team.  Coutinho was showing for the ball and he generally had a few more options than he's had in the games where it's been mostly kids.

I don't know where this is going to go or whether he'll establish himself here, but it's always nice when a fan gets to live the dream, and he's done that and he did himself justice with his performances.

Is this a stupidly whinge about Henderson after a 6-0 win thread? Henderson isn't a defensive midfielder, he won plenty of challenges over the game and the footwork to get the ball out to Coutinho ahead of Origi's goal was ace.

 

Anyway, Stewart, he's worked hard to get fit, improve and earn that debut, made up for him. The pass to Clyne was ace and maybe he shouldn't be getting megged by Lescott, but on balance some encouraging first steps in the league.

Match record has Henderson winning 6 tackles - most of any Red, second most on the fiels. Could be wrong though I guess...
