Suarez bite v2

Our (as in LFC) first say in the whole incident is in these transfer negotiations. Fuck modern football. Fuck it in the ass.

Our silence has been almost always deafening since Shanks.

In Sir Bob's through Kenny's heydays, for all the right reasons.

In recent times, all wrong.

(I'm talking as a club, not specifically our Managers.)

Jesus lads, I can't take much more of these ill informed ignorant reactionary opinions. It's like reading a letters page in the viz.

Firstly Suarez valuation - we say we want £80 mil and the opening bid is of £70 mil on day one, from a club who specialise in bullying and screwing others over. That's not an insurmountable difference in valuation to start with. £75-80 m is his true valuation and is an incredible amount of cash up front. Cavani cost about £53m , as did Falcoa, a young Ronaldo cost £80, and none of whom missed 29 league games through suspension in little over 2 and a half years. Whether Iain Ayre is a cock or not is irrelevant.

Mate, it's called speculation.

Big part of a football supporters website, particularly during the off-season when posturing for the new season is rife.

When it involves something as emotional and subjective as one of the weirdest dudes in world sport, who is arguably also the world's best exponent of playing that sport at the moment... things are gonna get ill-informed, ignorant and above all, reactionary.

Shit opinions and all.

Part of the fun of the interweb.

And life.

Enjoy.

Secondly, doing little protest wees in our pants because Sanchez is no longer being demanded, and he is the only replacement out there who can soften the blow. Well swap deal rarely happen due to the already incredible complexities of these huge deals. (Samuel and Zlatan, cashly and Gallas ...er, cole and Gillespie.?.) plus he is primarily a winger who scored a career high of 20 goals last year. He's great, but let's have balance here. Does he not go missing when the game is tough?

Also players always 'prefer Arsenal' compared to Liverpool according to the press, but like trophies, these players rarely end up there when all is said and done.

May I suggest turning off the internet.

im not to concerned about him leaving  yes we are a better team with him in it  but then we have shown we are as good and can score without him .We have lost many key/top players before and survived im sure the same will happen again

im more worried about every club in the world knowing we have 70/80m to spend because they will add 10m to a player the second we make an approach

I'll be sad to see him go: he's the single most exhilarating footballer I've ever seen. The flip side of it though is that he's mental and liable to acts of lunacy that see him banned for long periods of time. I won't miss that, but you can't have one without the other. But after a pretty pathetic summer he picked himself up and gave us one of the great goalscoring seasons that this league has ever seen, so I'm not going to call him everything under the sun. It's just a shame that with South American players, all roads seem to go to the Spanish big 2.

If we get Sanchez and anything over £40m then I think we've done a canny deal - really like the look of Sanchez and I think he'd be a great fit in the Premier League. Maybe the hold up with him "seeing where his future lies" is him waiting to see what happens with Vidal? I just wonder if he fancies a move back to Italy and Juventus, but that becomes less attractive if Vidal is off to Madrid or whatever.

I'm really concerned with Luis' impending departure. I was hoping against hope that he might stay now that we're back in the CL but doesn't seem likely at all now. It doesn't matter how much money we get for him, we'll never replace him unless we enter the realms of fantasy football and sign Messi.

What he brings to the team is irreplaceable and we're going to be a shadow of the team we are without him. And truthfully, Brendan's signings are not filling me with any optimism for the coming season, especially if Suarez is no longer at the club.

Cheer up, dude. We've won plenty of trophies with worse players than Suarez. One player will never be more important than the team dynamic or the collective will of the club and its fans.

I'm surprised that Barcelona actually made an opening bid of 70m, that shows that both parties are realistic and aren't messing about. I reckon we'll end up selling him for a world record, possible 85m.

No chance.  It'll be around £75m at best - and that'll be a very good price. The only way it'll be a word record is if we get £45m and Sanchez and we say Sanchez was valued at £45m.

Barca will also not want to have spent a world record fee.  They'll want to continue with this bullshit idea that they grow talent, not buy it.  The player-tapping twats.

Mundo say British press figures won't be what Barca pay. 88m euros relates to the release clause and they're looking at paying around 60m euros. Now unless it's one of those Barca transfers where they fraudulently don't disclose to their members what the fee is, surely Ayre wouldn't entertain that would he?

Got a strange feeling he would consider anything over 50m sterling  - record sale for the club and all.

The 88 m euros does match up with the 70m pounds that was reported to be their opening bid - course if it his release clause then that is their final bid too.

Because the stupid, bitey, self-centred fuck is a liability and Barcelona know he's nailed on to spend a significant proportion of every season in the stands.

If anyone's to blame for us not getting his full value it's Suarez and his fucking antics.

You are right. On the other hand one could also argue that Suarez is also the one who brought the value up in the first place. I mean we probably wouldn't be talking about a 60-80m fee if he hadn't scored those goals and all that.

It's a fair point, but frankly unless we get something like Bale money I'll always assume that we could have gotten an extra X million had he not pulled so much stupid shit....and that's a really frustrating thought given the club's recent history.

Every report on Suarez from reputable sources today says 70m as the opening offer and people are talking about a 60m euros bid that originated from some spanish daily fail days ago, why are people even giving this bullshit any creedance?
