Couldn't agree more, unless 5-1-3-1 becomes our default formation next season, which would explain the need for another CB, further negate the need for Johnson to actually do some defending, and explain why we appear to not be looking at a replacement for Suarez.

Its not possible to replace the best player in the world. No point in bothering.

No Vidal would largely leave them having to focus on their defence wouldn't it, from the original list flashed around of their targets, as Strootman won't be feasible until January at the earliest.

Not that their defence isn't an area of maximum concern for them, of course.  That midfield is utterly desperate however, and as much as Herrera looks a player, wins over LA Galaxy will only convince the most myopic of their fans that it can stand up to serious competition.

Genius, hopefully they will end up buying some jarg player from the Championship for £8M instead

Lacina Traore will arrive last minute like a broken Swingball that stays in the box until the summer holidays are over, when it gets discovered behind the shed steeped in dog piss.

Klaus Allofs, sports director of Wolfsburg, denies the rumour that his club has made an offer of €28m for Romelu Lukaku. #cfc #efc (Bild)

Romelu Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea and make a permanent switch to Everton this summer, the Toffees’ head of recruitment Ian Atkins has told talkSPORT.

Borini's returning to England.  Hopefully to pack his bags and sign for Sunderland.

I respect Borini and his attitude towards us. He has tried his hardest since he arrived and has been unlucky with injuries. Having said all that, I do prefer Remy, he just seems to offer more threat, so I am hoping Borini has come back to sign for Sunderland. Knowing our luck it will be for serious shoulder surgery.

When the lovren, Remy and origi deals are done that will be around 97m spent, with Suarez sold that's 22m from our budget.

Im guessing it was 60m so that would be 38m left and with Moreno looking like he will cost 20m min we would have 18m.

Looking at it like that talk if reus, vidal etc looks very unlikely but with the hopeful departures of borini, reina, agger and Lucas they could bring in around 25-30m.
