Best Left back we've had in a generation. He's got the attacking prowess of Riise, the defensive quality of Aurelio and the touchwood the reliability of Carragher.

He's boss.

MOTM for me today.

Its been 8 games....just a tad premature. He's certainly playing well ,does a good job both in attack and defence but needs to do this for a season or more before labelling him .People wanted Finnan out after 6 months and lauded that argentian lad as the best ever like. Its been a very Encouraging start to his Anfield career so far and was also my MOTM today

He did play football before signing for Liverpool you know.

I love the way he just outmuscled Coleman casually when he tried to get past him, you could see the little Irish prick getting wound up by it.

He seems to hesitate to close down the odd cross, I thought he didn't close the Sunderland fast enough and there have been similar occasions.

Otherwise he has been excellent, with three young left backs at the club it's great that they finally have a balanced role model at the club.

We've had some horrific times at full-back in recent years.

I loved Riise (at his peak) and obviously Finnan, but I never really like(d) Aurelio, as I thought he was oerrated in attack and defence, couldn't tackle, and was too slow and injury-prone.

And the less said about fucking clowns like Josemi, Dossena and Insua, the better.

But I was always quite confident about Enrique, and was pleased we signed him.

And so far, so very good.

Keep it up lad

I thinks he's been a revelation. There were loads of doubts about his ability to defend but he's looked solid. I always find it comforting having a quick fullback as it can often help get you out of a lot of trouble.

Sadly, we're 20 years behind the Mancs in realising this.

Just have to 'realise' that pace is essential everywhere, then we may stand a fighting chance of winning trophies again.

Great full back, absolute bargain, he's easily worth £20m in this fucked-up World of football, but I'm hoping we keep hold of him for 5 years.

Fat chance though.

But, he may pay for someone like Baines, someone who could be a long-term top class solution.

It's not pessimism, nor is it a reflection on us as a club, it's about Spanish players and it's about how rich Barca and Madrid are, and how top latin players only seem to feel complete when they sign for one of those two.

But I love him, yeah, top class full back. Johnson could learn a thing or two off him in terms of how and when to use that power and pace.

He and Bellamy tearing up the left side yesterday was a sight for sore eyes.

Yeah agree with that. There doesn't seem to be the same balance or chemistry with Downing and Enrique have played down the left hand side compared to Bellamy and Enrique for some reason. That looks more potent and devastating to me.
