Can someone explain to me why they assume that we would even care about their stadium?

I mean, setting aside all the uncertainty and delays in the supposed any-day-now construction, even if it were completed right now and they were entering into the 2020-21 season with the new BMD stadium, would anyone care?

Sure, it'd be nice for them, get a bit more revenue from the 13,000 extra seats and improved luxury boxes and what have you, but it's not a game-changer financially like they pretend it is. When we opened the new Main Stand our matchday revenues went up by £11m. £11m! So even if they get an extra £15m or whatever, how's that supposed to help them span the gulf between the sides? They'll just spend it on giving some aging, overrated Barca reject (Rakitic? Vidal?) a £250k/week contract and crow about "heads falling off" and then realise their mistake when the season starts.

At best, the BMD stadium puts them on a financial level with Wolves and Leicester. So, like, hurrah?

All wot yer said positively (- the redshite negativity) + cruise ships on the royal blue Mersey = tidal shift/ domination,

In terms of the airport I think they invested in Anderson’s wallet so he would fine people for having the temerity to stop on a practically dead, open stretch of road with zero casualties on to let people out of their car.

So very true,chippy tits twat

The current World, European and English champions are "all crapping in their skids and rattled beyond belief" because the little club across the park who haven't won a thing in 25 years have moved a cone down the docks. I hope they get their new ground so we can all laugh after exactly 6 months of playing it when they realise that it hasn't made the the world beaters they think it will.

The only reason we got BM off Liverpool Waters was to bookend the whole development.

A stadium (and add ons) will hopefully build confidence in the overall project and it will fill up from both ends.
That has been the basis from day one. Evertonians know that. Kopites don't because right from the start they thought it was pie in the sky thinking.
Now we're potentially weeks from being granted planning permission, they're all crapping in their skids and are rattled beyond belief.

What's the other bookend? The idea of bookends being that there are two.

Not too certain about that confidence building, are they? Where's the bullish delusion they usually suffer from?

Pie in the sky thinking from the Blueshite, who'd have thought it?

They've been 'potentially weeks away' from getting planning permission for the past 5 years. Like so many of their great white hopes who were going to be better than Gerrard, that 'potential' never quite comes to fruition, does it? Or was that because it was pie in the sky thinking? Surely not.

Have you ever seen Dirty Rotten Scoundrels? I've come to the conclusion that that site is a giant online version of the movie. Replace the scamming with wumming and multiply the 2 fraudsters by one hundred and you have GOT. I'm convinced it's chock a block with reds on the wind up. Each one trying to out of the other with outlandish tales. It can't be real. Of course you will get the odd looper but no one will convince me that many people think the world champions actually give a fuck about a Dan Meis picture.

The Usual Pattern has been set in stone for a few years now

Everton have not faired well in the balance of their fixtures.

We usually get a weaker or newly promoted side away meaning we have to beat an apparently weak side before either we are in stride or they are on a downward trend. We also had a lousy run in last season facing teams in the last few games which, on expected form would be desperate for points - I would prefer a more balanced set.

But here we are with a string of tough home games on the front end all the way to Christmas.. a tough opener, a very tough last game..

And, once again, that lot have their tough away fixtures out the way real early. If you argue the games they least expect to win (longest odds) are Arsenal, City, United, Spurs, Chelsea and Everton away... Then you would definitely want to play these kind of games when the odds are most in your favour.. early.

And, like the past few seasons... Chelsea, Everton, City all away in their first four aways..

Coincidence? Who knows?

It's an open secret that the fixtures are rigged, they have been for a long time. Quite a few people get input into the fixtures, mainly to avoid other large events etc. More recently TV want more super Sundays so that's factored in too.

Someone definitely hates Everton though, year after year they get fixtures against other teams in the premier league, always home and away. This has been their undoing. Everton fans will point to the closed season and how well they seem to perform, then once the season starts it all goes downhill, coincidence?

Cup games are rigged, Everton once again drawn against other teams, who over the last 25 years have knocked them out of the cup. Are you seeing the pattern here?

It's not just domestically where the conspiracy ends, even when they qualified for the Europa league they were selected against other teams, teams who generally beat their asses.

Nobody outside of their club seems to care, nobody is rushing to investigate this story. That in itself should be enough to raise suspicions and show that there is a clear and calculated conspiracy to ensure that they remain a mediocre team that disappoints every single year.

Putting Everton up against other teams in the premiership, teenagers in the FA Cup and part time plumbers in the Europa just has to stop. Maybe when they finally get their move to BMD the people that be will take note and stop this insane abuse of one of the founder members of the football league. (is that the league or the premier league because there are occasions they enjoy making a distinction between the two and times when they count it as just one competition.)

So it’s both unfair that they have to play shot teams early because they’re yet to hit their straps, and unfair that we get to play good teams early because of something else.
