We are talking about the same clowns who paid Rafa £6million we barely have, to leave. Only to then be taken on by Inter a few days later, how embarrassing. Clearly, not football men. Don't put anything past them.

it would only have been £6mil if he didnt find a job within a year, he actually got very little because he found a job quickly

It was in principle £6 million, they obviously didn't know Rafa would get the Inter job, and the original agreement was £6 million

If Rafa didn't get a job for 2-3 years it would have been £6m. There was never ever the slightest chance of that.

Can somebody please explain to me,why everyone is getting so excited about Pellegrini.

Now I dont want Hodgson as manager but compared to Pellegrini,Hodgson is leagues above him.

All he has done is won intertoto cup in 2004.

Has managed 9 teams and 7 of those for only one season.

He is has done sweet FA as a manager.

If you're worried about all 9 clubs he's managed at least look at what he actually did there. He managed that many clubs because he's always been in demand. Because he's good at what he does.

Erm you mean in south America,He has won one trophy 6 years ago since he has been in Europe.

He has finished 2nd twice in the league and one of them after spending hundreds of millions.

He has also finished 5th and 7th in the league.

Eh? He's won 3 league titles with 3 different clubs. Took Villarreal from a mid table team to CL regulars and CL semi finalists and got Real Madrid the highest points tally in their history. Hodgson leagues above him? Thats a joke.....right?

Pellegrini finished second in La Liga with Villarreal and he took them to a CL semi final and if Riquelme had kept his cool it would have been a final.

Nothing Hodgson has ever done can match that.

If you want perspective he has finished twice with more points than Rafa did both times he won the league with Valencia, but he finished second instead.

He has two league titles from Argentina and one from Chile, his titles in Argentina is also an achievment Hodgson has never came close to copy.

Last season his team finished with 96 points something that would be enough to win any other league in the world but unfortunatley for him and hopefully fortunate for us an amazing Barca team finished with 99 and won the title instead.

He also play attacking football and not dull boring shite like Hodgson.

Do they not count as real trophies?

He didn't spend a penny. No-nothing gimps above him spunked millions on superstars to sell shirts in Asia. The fact he managed to get 96 points from them was exceptional.

Despite all the things you've missed out like CL semis, record points totals, league titles, etc. What has Hodgson done? Would you rather Villareal/Real Madrid football or Fulham football?

Them three teams in south America you mean.

One trophy won 6 years ago.

Hodgson has something like 7 league titles with different clubs and 7 cups as well, all in European leagues.

Yes a different level by far.

Why does everyone talk about what managers have won, it's impoosible to compare because they are never on a level footing...try looking at how their teams play rather than whether they were in a position to win a league title.

I agree. Track records aren't that important and no manager has a perfect track record. If we're going to pick holes in every candidates record then we'll never appoint anyone.

So Scandinavian trophies count yet trophies for clubs like River Plate dont count? Clueless.
