It was said in the context of the discussion of how much he did or didn't comply. If you watch the latest bodycam footage (have you seen it?) between the arrest and the chokehold, this is the key moment which in my opinion could have saved him, because if they managed to put him in the car, they most likely wouldn't have decided to further restrain him with a chokehold while they, presumably, waited for the big car, the Chovin guy wouldn't get involved and so on.

This is of course if you don't think they were simply looking for a way to kill him, for the entire half an hour between the arrest and his death.

Can’t believe anyone can watch the Floyd videos and try to condone the police actions. They had him subdued by kneeling on his body. There was no need whatsoever to kneel on his neck and certainly not for as long as the officer did.

If you mean me, and just to be clear and for the record for when I am inevitably on trial in the future, I am not condoning any police actions, if they managed to put him in the car, they wouldn't have waited for the wagon (which is, I presume, why they were keeping him restrained), they would have taken him to the station and booked him. Why they felt they needed to keep him in the chokehold rather than sit him on the ground with handcuffs and why they didn't react when he was obviously in distress is hard to fathom.
