Kel at work brought her laptop in last week - she's getting a popup from the taskbar saying something along the lines of,

 

"You have a dangerous infection, click here for help."

 

But clicking the bubble does nothing.

 

She's got McAfee on there that came with the computer (6 months old) but hadn't updated it. I've got her to update that, and installed Adaware and Spybot, but all three are coming up with nothing significant. I've also put Firefox on for her.

 

The computer's also very slow, so I do think there's something on there.

 

My next thought is to put on AntiVir on, as that set up is working fine for me. Would I need to delete McAfee first?

 

And what's that free download that creates a log of all the running processes? That'll be the next step I guess.
