Unlocking Mobiles

My wife's just bought a new phone and wants to put her old sim card in it but she needs to unlock the phone to be able to use her old number.

 

Anyone know how she does this?

Need to take it too a shop that does that type of unblocking thing mate, I think. I'm not aware of any way of doing it yourself like.

Depends what phone it is. Some Nokias can be unlocked with a DECT-3/4 calculator. Give the calculator software your IMEI number, tell it what network its locked to, and it'll give you a code to put into the phone to unlock it. Others need to be done via a cable/unlockbox/computer.

 

Phone shops only usually charge a tenner max for it nowadays anyway.

I'm a regular to having mobiles unblocked as I have blag business accounts set up to create cheap phone bills, I normally get them done via the heritage market when I'm home but I found myself buying a phone charger in PHONEBITZ in the Black bull last week and the cheeky twat wanted £50 to unblock a K800i, just wanted to let you know the because PHONEBITZ in the Black bull is a fucking joke of a rip off, he even tried charging me £10 for a £5 charger, PHONEBITZ - Black Bull.

a lot of the time all you need to do is enter a code just like you would a phone number. These are easy to find on the net, have a look around first you can probably do it yourself for free.

that site has codes for nearly all, however if your not 100% just take it the shop, because you might do things that you didnt want to.

PHONEBITZ? Didn't PHONEBITZ used to be, or at least have another store, in Tuebrook just by the bridge? If so, I agree, PHONEBITZ are a shower of overpriced cunts.

 

 

Used to be a dead sound bloke in Kenny Market called Paul. If I remember correctly, he moved to a shop over the road from the market when it had that fire. If he's still there try him. Used to sort out my phones for a fiver a pop when everywhere else was still charging £10/15.
