I'm registered on the site and will join up before the season kicks off. The weighty subject of squad selection can only truly be addressed at the weekend when the brain-fug induced by forty-odd hours of income tax reviews has dissipated, only to be replaced by another one of a decidedly more herbal origin.

Right, seeing as uptake hasn't exactly been great for the Yahoo one on here, how about TLW Yahooers and Bollockyboo-hooers O_o combine into one league?

 

Here's the format it's gonna take... (If we get loads of people, the wealth may be spread downwards further).

Here be the rules:

 

BOLLOCKY LEAGUE

 

£12.50 to join...

 

Straight league format.

 

50% of pot for coming 1st

25% of pot for coming 2nd

15% of pot for coming 3rd

10% of pot for coming 4th

 

Bogey prize for coming last, to be voted on by players at http://www.bollockyboo.co.uk

 

BOLLOCKY CUP

 

£5 to enter, might play a couple over the course of the season.

 

Winner = 80% of pot, losing finalist 20% of pot.

 

Will begin a few weeks into the season, players being drawn to play against each other in two-legged ties - whoever gets the most points over the two weeks wins.

 

However, here's the catch - each player's average points per game is calculated before the tie, and the difference between the two players is subtracted from the better player's total as a handicap.

 

For example,

 

Cocksock XI = 1,345 points in 20 weeks = 67.25 points per week

Fannyfarts = 1,764 points in 20 weeks = 88.20 points per week

 

Difference per week = 20.95

 

Therefore Fannyfarts starts the tie with a score of -20.95, while Cocksock starts with 0. (With it being over 2 weeks, this could maybe be doubled???)
