Arsenal in a good position and looking to improve further still, imagine owners having ambition beyond a club being their savings account. It's infuriating with us because we've been at the pinnacle and stood still.

Several times - it’s what we do, then sit around scratching our arse wondering why we’ve fallen behind.

Can you imagine if FSG had strengthened our attack in January in 13/14, 17-18 or our defence in 20/21.

Arsenal have very good owners, proving you don't need oil to compete - just ambition.

Now you are defo having a laugh.

Arsenal's owners have owned 33% of the club for 15 year, 66% for 12 years and full ownership for 5 years. I'm sure they would have appreciated your support and patience during those barron years.

I think we all agree that we need to invest more in players, but Arsenal haven't even won an argument in recent years, so I'm not sure we should be comparing ourselves negatively to them just yet.

Football changes quickly. They were ridiculed at times last season with largely the same group of players, a season that we're still probably suffering the after-effects of for being too competitive with too small a squad.

Despite everything, there's a chance we'll end up with more silverware than Arsenal this season.

That is exactly all we are. Salah, although still scoring, looks a shadow of the player he was, Nunez has pace with no brain, van Dyke hasn’t been the same since being assaulted by a cowardly, retarded Velociraptor, and our ‘Captain’ trots along behind opposing players like an obedient lap-dog following his master, terrified to put a foot in in case he gets a card and ruins his Ritchie Cunningham good-boy image. Even in his pomp he was a 1 goal and 1 assist a season midfielder (both usually coming when the game was already won) who ambled around pointing. With a manager, in spite of his qualities, is stubbornly predictable. (Anyone guess the formation, team and tactics at Brighton this weekend? Of course you can…) And owners though, who never take their eyes off the prize; the cash-cow this club has been for them.

LFC need big changes or we risk slipping back into a team that is content with CL football 1 in 5 years and another title drought.

Chimney sweeper.

And their last league title was….? And their only (losing) CL final was…..?

Not sure Felix is what Chelsea need, even on loan. Odd report that he’ll extend his contract with Atletico until 2027 at the same time.

Felix is a terrible signing for Chelsea, Mendes is just rinsing him for all he’s worth while his stock is still relatively high. Getting a cut of the loan deal and the new contract with Atleti before teams realise he’s never going to be worth the money.

Agree. He's underwhelming for a player of his reputation too. They're all over the place in terms of their signings, which is good for us in terms of the Sky Sports Race For Fourth.

Talk Simeone is leaving at the end of the season. Assume they’d want to keep him for whoever the new coach is and retain his value.

What Arsenal are doing is the equivalent of what we did, but without having spent the massive fees on van Dijk and Alisson. Granted, they haven't sold anybody for big money like we did. Even Keita cost us more than Ben White, who is the most expensive player in their eleven, and they don't have expensive depth either. It's not been some incredible show of wealth or ambition by their owners, they just know what they're doing, like we once did.

Mudryk would change that a bit. That looks like it will be an overpay, although he looks like a good player, and they're entitled to take a shot to try to win the league.

Arsenal have a Leicester 2016 whiff about them to me.  No major injuries (so far),  no European football (or are they in the Uefa thing?) and all their rivals off the boil/rebuilding.   It'll be interesting to see how they cope with City breathing down their necks and with a title run in.

I think Arsenal have been incredibly lucky rather than clever. They had so many old money grabbers on the books they had no choice but to shop for youth with lower wages. They had Odegaard and Dani Ceballos on loan because they couldn't afford to buy anyone at that time. They then had Saka and Martinelli come through at the same time, 2 fabulous players at the perfect time.

Then when the season of matches every 3 days comes they have a team full of energy. As we seen in 2014 momentum can gather quickly and confidence brings players further along than they have and right to be. Obviously they have made some good decisions along the way but they most certainly aren't a club we should be modelling ourselves on.
