A quid a goal

Been musing with a hangover and though about something we could do as a forum, if some people were up for it, to raise a decent amount of money for charity.

 

We could have a vote at the start of each season to pick and charity, and each match donate a quid into a pot for every goal we score. If we had a few people commit we could really come up with a decent wedge to donate at the end of the season.

 

I 100% appreciate it won't be for everyone, so no pressure or judgement from me for people who couldn't commit to it.

 

I've been broke most of my life and thankfully in a phase in my life where I don't fear the wolf at the door every week, so it works for me right now, but I know it's no small commitment.

 

Anyway, if Cath or another legendary forumite wanted to collect in a pot, we could then see exactly what we've managed to raise by the end of the season.

 

Also happy to start this mid season this year.

Edit: Ive had a quick look and we could use a gofundme and select a charity and the money wont have to be managed by any of us.

Same. I think I just liked the idea of linking together for a shared cause as a forum, adding in the excitement of goals, and splitting up what would be good donations down to maybe the price of a pint a match or less each (or more if we're playing United)
