Man we're good at this football lark.

 

In all honesty it was a dominant performance and like a training session. 75% possession, 3 times as many passes with a 90% pass completion rate. A clean sheet, think they had two shots on target, one in the 7th minute and the next in the 87th minute. Loved how Origi got back to make a challenge late on to keep that clean sheet and a few seconds later he was running onto a ball in their box. Thought Gomez played well again and with VVD we look really good at the back and both are capable of setting up attacks by bringing the ball out. Wij has some fucking engine on him, deffo running on Duracell. 

All in all a satisfactory start to the new Year and we have now gone a whole calendar year without a defeat in the league. Glorious stuff. On we march and hopefully just keep on going, it must be soul destroying for our rivals.

City softened them up for us lads, fuck all to do with us playing against teams after City were supposed to destroy them in the hope they would put more effort in playing against us, no siree. 

Incidentally, we play Everton next, after City softened them up.

That was like the 70's and 80's again where we used to keep the ball for fun and just canter through games. Difference being in those days the keeper could pick the ball up. Totally dominant performance.
