If we are to play a back 3 in this game I would rather see Carra in the middle than Coates, maybe do a sub later in the game, but I have never seen a former team mate get the better of Jamie Carragher. I fear Crouch might be too cunning for Coates (in an English way), he also hasn't played for a while, could be suseptible to giving a foul/penalty or getting a card, whereas JC doesn'y give that fear, Crouch ain't fast, but he's clever, he's a fucking spider!

Crouch hasn't started their last 4 games.

Will be a much tougher test than the one Fulham provided. A proper test of whether Rodgers sticks with the style of play that got us the last result i.e. attack and press from the start.

Will know a lot after the first 20 mins or so.

Of course it's going to be a much tougher test than Fulham, Stoke are one of the best home sides in the league, and they are making every game into a dog fight.

Anyway, we've always tried to attack and press from the start under Rodgers. Never have we sat back and waited with men behind the ball. Sometimes it has not worked out, down to a number of things, but not because Rodgers has went into games instructing the team with a different style of play or philosophy.

Very hard place to go to. If we get a win today it will give us a lot of hope to fight for fourth. A win would be unexpected but lovely. A draw would be acceptable, though you don't go into any game looking for a draw. A loss will have the loons out in force, attacking Rodgers, FSG, Father Christmas and anyone else that comes to mind...

What do we do now?

Allen and Sterling back in?

I hope we go for the first goal early, throw everything at it, even if we're wide open and it's 5-4 in the first half.

Stoke will love to see us try and do the patient passing to find a way through their packed central areas, and then smack it up to Walters or Jones to bundle the defenders and get a mistake out of them.

Hit em hard, hit em first, rattle the cunts.

Not a game for Suso, perhaps...

Agreed, lets get fired into them too! AND STILL ROAST THEM AT FOOTBALL

This the their first game since the Felliani stuff ?

Remember reading that the refs are going to start clamping down on the WWF after that game , probably fantasy but it would be nice if we somehow benefitted from the fallout of that Everton game.

We need to be in the refs ear constantly pressuring him and making a big fuss when they are doing their Hulk Hogan bear hugs , nothing to lose from trying.
