getting the train to Wolves tomorrow but in need of transport for the return journey! Anyone going back to London who has room for one more? Financial contribution provided of course! Alternatively, anyone driving back to Liverpool after the match with room for one? cheers

Mini league
by Guest Stormbringer- 10 replies

Apparantly we are now in a mini league for fourth with Charlton, Newcastle and Fulham. Made me think. And what I came up with is we are definitely the fourth best team, and probably likely to be relegated. Last 38 games results in one season and we would be relegated me thinks. CL highly unlikely and how about not in Europe at all? Oh 'be Jingos'. What's hangliding or Snowboarding like to support?

I honestly think that if we do not get rid of GH fast this club is doomed, he has lowered the level of expectation, made home grown players think of leaving, installed half arsed french/ foriegn players who are not Premier standards. Yesreday showed what an idiot he has become, a team that looked lost against Spurs a team that has just dragged itself out of the bottom 3, we are struggling to put a claim on 4th (friggin 4th), on paper we have a squad equal to the top 3 but in reality we stink. No SG no guts or drive in the midfield, a bench that stank of defensive fear against the bloody yids, christ how anyone can stick up for this Idiot is beyond me. Pro GH's…

Juist read on the offal site that Pongolle is out for two weeks with an injury picked up in training. Also, Luzi hurt himself in traing as well. What the hell is going in? Two players hurt in training- Pongolles injury is a groin strain- that is caused from not stretching properly. Luzi hurt his back, but sine the poor feck will never pay, that doesn't matter. Probably hurt himself when somebody told him to stand up and get off the bench. So, we've got Baros giving Rooney a money for the porker award, FSP and Luzi getting hurt in training- I'm beginning to wonder if we are becoming a laughing stock. Perhaps it isn't GH, but the physio that should go. The first question ou…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/3405671.stm Houllier reveals O'Neill row Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier admits he had heated discussions with Celtic counterpart Martin O'Neill after he was linked with the Anfield job. Houllier was angry that O'Neill failed to dampen speculation that he would succeed him at Anfield. O'Neill phoned Houllier and the Reds boss said: "I told him that in the English press there were no denials from him. "We have sorted it out now and there is no problem. Everything is fine." O'Neill had been named as the prime candidate to take over from Houllier after he came under pressure following a po…

As Charlton go marching on......

I hope the board are taking note of their success, and in partic. the man behind it. Sure, he may be a cockney, but he is a motivator, who gets the best out of his players. He has progressed every year, working on a shoestring budget, and most importantly his team play good football. If he can achieve that much with an average set of players, what could he do for us with our world-class spine that we undoubtly have. I'm also sure that he wouldn't treat the youth players like shit, and he would not feed us bullshit and embarrass us. Get in Curbs - its less risky bringing him in than gambling on a foreigner.

I bought two tickets for the Newcastle game and dropped one in my fire ( an accident not a protest at recent performances). The ticket is intact but smoke damaged to the extent that the seat number is not visible. I went to Anfield on Friday afternoon to request a duplicate because I was worried that the tunstile attendant would not accept the ticket. After explaining to the very attractive young lady at the window she said: "We can only give you a duplicate on the day of the game" "Why?" says I, having wasted an afternoon going to Anfield for nothing (usually happens on a Saturday, I know) "Because that is the club policy" she replied. Imagine if I'd…

At least Carra is nearly back, but what about Jerzy? Liverpool career is over - sell now? Only Milan to come back to be at full-strength and "there'll be no problem then; you'll see the best of us". :whatever:

You know that feelingb when you know you are losing the belief in all but the inevitable negative result. I am a very opptomistic guy. I keep saying we can, we will, it'll be ok. But the more the season goes on it is dawning that we can't, we won't, and it will bu fuckin orrible. I posted that we have had injuries that would have scuppered any teams title hopes, but it is unacceptable for our squad to be so poor in terms of results. We have to face it that Charlton are wiorht 4th, they stuffed us and I believe they are motivated and well led. Their full squad cannot be stronger than our depleated one so it must be management. Lots of you clearly d…

What is goin on with Baros. Before xmas he was ahead of Carra but that clearly isn't so. Anyone shed some light? We need to get him and MO back together asap as they are imo a great match and foil for each other. Big reason for our poor form and the inclusion of EH and the inevitable long ball. :dunno:

I've used four articles so far, all calling for him to go. I've got another one which is going on later. I know there's still some pro-GHers on here, so once again, if anyone wants to write something supporting Gerard, then please do, as I'll be happy to use it. The way it's going its gonna look like a TLW witch hunt against him, but if I don't get anything defending him there's not much I can do.

Is it me, or do we seem to miss a lot of gilt-edged goal scoring chances on a regular basis? This seems to have been happening for a long time.

THE mother of a teenage Hillsborough victim is launching a fresh bid for a new inquest into his death. Kevin Williams, 15, from Formby, was one of 96 people who died in the stadium in 1989. His mother Anne claims she has information not heard at the original inquest which proves her son died needlessly. She is planning to use European law to sup-port her bid. It has always been maintained all the victims were dead or were fatally injured by 3.15pm. But Mrs Williams, 51, claims she has evidence Kevin was alive until 4pm and that with proper care his life could have been saved. Barristers are now preparing a memorial, the official term for a r…

Well, if there's any truth to either of these, it's a start, isn't it? I have to say I fall on the "not convinced and think he's a liability waiting to happen" side of the fence in regard to Traore. And his distribution is terrible.

Gerrard faces knee op
by Guest 18 & 4- 2 replies

From the BBC's website: Gerrard faces knee op Gerrard is struggling with knee cartilage damage Luckless Everton goalkeeper Paul Gerrard is to have knee surgery in a bid to clear up a cartilage problem. He is thought to have picked up the injury in training. Manager David Moyes told the club's official website: "Paul is in need of an operation on his knee - he's got a tear in his cartilage. "He'd been on loan at Sheffield United and since he came back, just before Christmas, he's been fine, so he thinks he's damaged it in training." Gerrard made the switch to the Blades back in August. But this injury is the latest major setback to…
