The UK is still the top for soft power in the world (influence of its music, culture, sport etc and of course language), we could still probably both fuck most countries in a conventional war once you take the States, China out the mix. I'd even fancy us in a non nuclear war with Russia whereas I wouldn't have six months ago, they're an absolute shambles.

There's such a thing as healthy nationalism, for example, educating your own young people rather than letting your universities whore themselves out to the Chinese so they can steal all your ideas.

I can't recall a quicker fall from power as ours.

Our entire army could fit in Old Trafford.

We have a tiny pile of munitions.  These things are fine when you have a special relationship with the USA...but we don't even have that now.

Going from a leading influence in a coalition of 28 independent countries to being a pariah state that can't be trusted to stick to international law was probably not a good move, either.

Stumbled across these comments yesterday on the Twitter. Thought they must be parodies, but a browse through their timelines suggests not.

This is the level of insanity and delusion these cultists are at. There's fuck all point in trying to reason with them. I can only hope they leave politics well alone once their King Arthur/Churchill has fucked off to the 'sunlit uplands' he promised everyone else, and turn their attention to something more productive, like analysing the contents of their shit.

I hate this 'neaely died of Covid' shite.

(A) he didn't. He was never on a ventilator from my understanding.

(B) it was his own fault he caught it, proudly announcing he went around a hospital ward shaking people's hands with no mask on.

He said let the bodies pile high and gave money to his Brexit mates, including Dyson - fucking Dyson - to make ventilators, and called it operation last gasp.

Truly, a hero of our times.

That Linda Robson is your typical Johnson fan. I always picture them as self style blue collar Tories from the isle of shepy or however the fuck you spell it. Overly tanned, bitch tits, huge - thick - gold bracelet, doesn't like scousers, the Scottish, the Welsh, any immigrants or anyone on benefits. Doesn't mind the Spanish based purely on the fact the barman at their regular holiday hotel is a good sport because he lets him take the piss out of his accent in exchange for an eight quid tip at the end of the week.

No he didn't you fucking imbecile.

The vaccine was created by scientists across the globe.

He had to deal with Brexit.

The audio on that is like a tour of Johnson’s psyche to in a few minutes.

When confronted he just resorts to his playbook - starts with a snivelling apology, moves onto blaming somebody else, and finishes with a bullying tantrum until he’s absolved himself of all blame in his own mind.

They mentioned it in the round up on Jarg Marr this morning, but didn't say much about it. There's been a few stories lately though that seem to be ignored, then within 24 hours it's mental. My guess is people are running around trying to get their own version of that story.

Tory donors are privately asking if there is 'any way' to keep Boris Johnson as PM (msn.com)

Tory donors are privately asking if there is 'any way' to keep Boris Johnson as PM

Tory donors have privately asked if there is ‘any way’ to keep Boris Johnson as Prime Minister, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The day after Ministers and MPs’ forced Mr Johnson into announcing his resignation, insiders reported that a kind of ‘buyers’ remorse’ was setting in among senior ranks.

One said the absence of a strong candidate to replace Mr Johnson has led to calls to find a way of keeping him as leader. ‘None of them are much good,’ the source said.

Several donors have asked if there is ‘any way’ it can be arranged for Mr Johnson to simply apologise for his mistakes and move on, but have been told this was not possible, The Mail on Sunday understands.

Another source said: ‘Donors have been saying they have buyers’ remorse. There is a feeling that we have lost this extraordinary politician. That he [Johnson] has been got at by the blob, Remainers and BBC.’

Speculation is mounting over which contenders will secure the backing of big-hitting donors.

Two sources said that Tom Tugendhat has got the support of billionaires Sir Michael Hintze and Lord (Michael) Spencer.

One party figure said they had spoken to donors who preferred former Chancellor Rishi Sunak as a ‘first choice’, adding: ‘Anyone but Liz [Truss]. She’s too Marmite.’

That’s odd, as there have been numerous reports of them not being able to attract HNI’s due to the amount of baggage Johnson brings, which they reported on!

They're not being disingenuous, are they?

It's the daily mail mate. It's a reputable publication, beloved throughout the land. There's no way they'd be disingenuous. They're just spelling out of the facts and fighting the left wing media.

I know you're right but that journo has often been on the button with political stories.

It look some medical expert to follow him and say, actually it's mot a good idea to shake hands with strangers in the midst of a global pandemic.

So aswell as being incompetent, corrupt and untrustworthy..he was genuinley dangerous.

Yes, he probably passed it on to others aswell as caught it himself. How many other people did he infect after leaving the hospital before being struck down with it. He's a fucking idiot.
