That was before Luton's injury crisis though.

They've got long term injuries to about eight of their best eleven.

I can't see Luton winning another game this season.

Burnley are unbeaten in four and have shown some sign of life. They'd need to beat Everton this weekend and still be reliant on another points deduction to finish above them though.

In 8 seasons he's got into double figures for Premier League goals twice; for this season and the previous two he's got a grand total of 11.  He's 27, so he's about as good now as he's ever going to be.

£100k a week.

Yeah, but, the reason they're in trouble is Premier League corruption.

There always seem to be rumours Arsenal like him. I can only assume it's for his aerial ability, as they've lost that side of their game pretty much since Giroud left.

It's just about this time in the season that Leicester turned it round in 2015 when they were pretty much down. Are you saying Burnley are going to win the league next year?

Sadly I'm not sure this INEOS gang are going to be the pushovers that were buying players before.

You never know. But I can definitely see Branthwaite going for both of 50 million. You, English, capped and looks a decent prospect. He’s already 5 times better than Maguire. My you so is my nan and both of them are dead

Luton have beaten Everton twice already this season, they will certainly do them at home.

Big respect for how you always demonstrate your workings out with physical evidence to back up your findings.

It's going to be a fire sale though with deals that will be needed to be completed in this financial year. By all accounts the mancs, arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and villa are all out of the running of buying anyone before the next financial year because of PSR rules - Newcastle might get some wiggle room if they don't qualify for Europe as the PL PSR will be easier to hit. That pretty much leaves us and the cheats at the table. If it can run into the next financial year, they maybe get more, but all these clubs will still be up against it unless they sell well, so then it's a question is a prospect centre back your priority?

True but these will find a way to spend. I suspect utd will be offloading a lot from their wage books this summer

the problem they will have with selling him, is their valuation against the reality of his worth. it's like there's talk they want 80m for branthwaite. decent prospect, but no chance. i don't think they would take less than 50m for pickford. at 30, he probably has 5+ years left in him. i don't see anyone paying that for him. i think they would be unlikely to sell for less - unless it's that or administration.

Southgate taking over at United, immediately followed by a £50m bid for short arms......

they might. but they have to do it before June 30th to mean they could buy someone before then and they might have to do that wihout bringing someone in. it's why they didn't sign anyone in january and why it was so difficult to get amrobat over the line last summer. and their position will no doubt be worse than it was in August, because I doubt they budgeted to be out of the CL by christmas and a likely 6th place finish, which will reduce their projected revenues for 23-24. as much as they are a money making machine, they have pretty much blown it. and their player costs including agents and amortisation will need to be at 80% for next season to be in europe, reduced from the 90% this year.

that would be almost wonderful. mancs to spend their summer budget on him, when they have an almost identical keeper today and everton to sign adrian to be their new keeper as they can't afford anyone else!

So all their incessant whining about PSR favouring the big clubs and stopping clubs with generous owners spending may lead to the thing being scrapped. The league may introduce a luxury tax meaning clubs will pay the league so they can then spend anything they like.

Who is going to tell them that they'll still be skint and a billion in debt meaning it won't help them out. They'll be after another rule change after that to help them out.

Id guess Arsenal would love to sign Isak.

Him and Ødegaard had a great spell together at Real Sociedad during the 19/20 season when they were 19 and 20 years old.

The good news is that it won't further inflate the transfer market for pl clubs as well

So angry.

They certainly spend a lot of time posting about a Club, its manager and supporters whom they’re so much better than, don’t they?

Mysterious how they spend so much time comforting and reminding themselves of it.

Special mention there to “efcman4eva” who is ploughing the boot in to our out of town contingent and how much of a blight they are to the City on match days, comparing Anfield to Disneyland… commercialising football and further making the game it about TV and money.

Whilst admitting in other threads that he’s from St Helen’s, doesn’t go the game and hopes for a huge boost in revenue, profile and PR from Bramley Moore, given its iconic location.

An Evertonian I work with asked me whether it pissed me off that I couldn't go to games because all the Norwegians and Iriah took all the tickets away from local fans.

Despite being from Blackpool and not going to a match for well over ten years. The last game he went to was when they got battered by Benfica in Lisbon. He'd already booked to go there with his Mrs even before they were drawn together and just got a ticket from the club shop the day before the match.
