I dont like how he was sympathetic to Nani on Sunday. Everybody is getting stuck in & he's holding his leg us & whispering sweet nothings into his ears.

He should have been sticking & twisting his fingers in the gash. That would have made any cunt eyes water.

Cant really blame him, they are friends and teammates in the Portugal national team

So you didn't see the game, but you are asserting that he played defensive midfield?

I`ve seen the line up, and since a deep lying midfielder is what he is and always have been I guess thats where he played.

And from SKY: 84 Meireles has looked solid today. He's just sat in front of the back four and he hasn't half put in a neat and tidy display for his new club.

Whats your point by the way?

I read kennys latest book recently and he said that whenever he was offered a contract he signed it without even discussing money. I don't think Meireles making public demands about financial promises sat well with Kenny and his comment about bellamy taking a wage cut to sign was probably a wee dig at raul.

Wow some average never been striker took a pay cut from around 120.000 a week to sign for his so called favourite club and our best player from last season wanted a raise and still would not reach the same heights as the earlier mentioned player and he is supposed to be seen as greedy?

If it was not as tragic I would laugh.

I suspect there was probably some desire for the move on all sides after Villas Boas and Chelsea came in with more money.

My point is that you didn't see the game, but you are asserting that Meireles played as a defensive midfielder. I see you have quoted Sky to back up your argument. Wow!

I'd also take issue with calling him a deep lying midfielder. I'd call Alonso a deep lying midfielder. I's say Meireles is the epitomy of a box-to-box player. I don't think a depp lying midfielder gets into the box as often as Raul does.

I think his point is that you didn't watch the game but still have strong opinion on which position Meireles played.

EDIT: Meh, Spy Bee beat me to it.

Meireles admitted he was stunned to discover he had been made available for transfer.

"I was aware that Liverpool wanted to sell me in the summer, which was a bit surprising to me," said Meireles

As good as.

Fair enough, I guess there are different ways to interpret his transfer request.
