How can people possibly knock this possible signing? He's "free", a good player and can play in two positions where we desperately need players in our squad.

To be fair mate, from what I've seen of him he'll be a decent signing on the free. Definitely better than the horror that was Voronin.

 

Still won't get my hopes up too high, mind you. You never do know with these free signings.

He's not a striker though, he's more of a left winger. Not the type of back up striker we need for Torres.

He seems to be more bothered about the manager who bought him than the club he plays for judging by his comments the other day. I could be wrong but I would be amazed if he was still here in August and that is even if we had the option to keep him.

 

I don't know anything about the Jovanovic lad, if we sign him I hope he offers a bit more pace and guile to the side but I am still scarred by Voro our last East European Bosman.

If you were Jovanovic and had the choice of a contract with Inter Milan, or approach from Liverpool who have now sacked the manager who wanted to sign you, not appointed a new man so no idea whether they’ll follow up, what are you going to do?

 

It’s not like he’s choosing the manager over the club, he’d just be choosing to go where he’s wanted.

I’ve never seen him play so I’m not arsed either way really. Although did think it would be nice if we had a bit of pace and skill on the left.
