  1. Louis is a loon but the reaction is over the top. Biting doesn't have it's own classification like racism. . It will fall under generic ' violent play' Did he actually bite him or did he do simulation ? Maybe Ivanawhatsnae wa goading him about being a 'caniinbal' re -Ajax incident. Ivan complained to the referred at the time who spoke to Suarez about the incident. The referee and assistant must have been following the ball and can not have missed the incident. Is so the FA can't take any other action Liverpool ask CHelsea if they are going to make a complaint and make a personal apology to Ivan. That should the end of it. The media shitstorm will abate in a few weeks. Sky showed Suarez dressed on his way out with a Chelsea shirt in a plastic bag. Assume this is Ivan's.
  2. I have a spare in the upper centenary. PM me.
  3. Can't beleive there is a thread or debate about this. Jamie is an absolute legend at this club and hopefully will stay on in a coaching capacity. He wants to join the premiership '500' club and is only a few games away. Very few players get to play 500+ games in the premiership and BR is helping him achieve this goal. In doing so suggests that Cara will hang his boots up at the end of the season. Have a look at how he put his body on the line in Istanbul and then ask yourself why you feel it necessary to be so fucking petty.
  4. Ayre et al are a complete joke. All the shit about agents, wanting to know his place in the team bollocks. If any of that hadn't already been discussed and finalised by the end of November then we are the biggest wanker negotiators in the history of wanker negotiators. If the agents have pulled a few of these out the bag last minute after been asked ,more than once, if everything out, then we should walk away immediately.
  5. You might be onto something. Asked on LFC last night for one player he would like Liverpool to sign in January and Molby said Kiessling. I hadn't clue who he was as not one of the names normally banded about. Or did you watch the same programme and then made it your own  We could exchnage for Yesil??
  6. Don't think he was the worst player on the pitch only because we have shite like Downing in the team. You are right his performance is a bit gutless. Hate to criticise the lad as he is a legend but he is playing like somebody entering late thirties. He is hardly making the effort to stretch for the ball when it is within playing distance or putting in easy tackles to hold up the advancing play. I lost it with him when he did the roll back under his foot without looking and gave Swansea possession outside our box. He has been responsible for a lot of goals against when losing possesion further up the pitch. Drop/rest him when Lucas comes back and see f that helps?
  7. Been sharing the cost of two corporate tickets with a few mates as far back as 2005. Gradually over the years mates have droped off for various reasons. The club hiked the price up by 30% last year leaving me 'last man standing.' Took a risk to be able to sell on as I am can't get back for many games. Will have to bin next season. Need to recover approximately three times the standard cost of ticket. I have sold some for more and some for less. Just keeping my head above water. Money is obviously tight everywhere. Alot of people have been buying for special occasions for partners, sons, etc. They are cracking seats in the upper centenary, access to lounges and as much food as you want to eat. I coming up for the Southampton game but probably giving Villa and Sunderland a miss. I can be a bit flexible on the price, etc. Send me a PM if you now anybody who maybe interested. Only posting here as I saw the thread about membership sales (frustration).
  8. Why can't contracts be constructed on the basis of incremental values depending on progress? Takes more effort on an annual basis to appraise . negotiate but a lot of this can be fact based. This can co-exist alongside additonal bonus schemes. Sterling should be paid on his contribution not his age. He has us over a barrel as the compensation we would recieve if he didn't re-sign would be much less than a transfer wedge. Again, we got ourselves into this mess by having to play him so regularly. Ideally, introducing him for the odd game here and there so he would see a future here without attracting the attention and being elevated into the England set up (where he doesn't deserve to be and is only there to get him to commit).
  9. Agree with all that. The only thing they are good at is the spin. A representative from the supporters committe was on Kop Talkin' the other night spewing the mantra ' we didn't get Dempsey because Fulham wanted more than our budget, we were told this at the committee meeting'. He was repeating it as it was FACT thta shouldn't be challenged because he 'heard it at the commitee meeting' ( repeat until you explode). Many of our fanbase our guilable, more and more are dumbing down expectations due to the spin eminating from the club. Decisions and actions durimg the transfer window by the hierarchy of the club would be consider criminal negligence in any significant business and heads would role. The fact nobody was accountable, smokescreen's lit regarding the failure to effectivey negotiate with Fulham (having already pissed them off during the window what did they expect) and having no back up plan leaving us exposed says it all about the owners mind set toward the club.
  10. Suarez Skirtel Allen (means fuck all if Enrique has a decent game outside the box but ball watches for their 2nd goal. Insua was the same.).
  11. Problem is there are no passes on to go forward. Watch when Skirtel/Agger have the ball, Allen is constantly on the move lookig for the pass. Stevie should be doing likewise but instead is ambling around. He is also too far way from Allen when ever he gets the ball. If Allen turns with the ball (assume no players around him), playing the ball in to feeet to Borini and Suarez is wasterful. Luis is better holding the ball up but half the time he is doing wateful flicks. It is here were we are losing possession and unable to build momentum. Not having the confidence / options to turn a pass into the forwards, the next best option is to find your midfield playmaker. Stevie was too slow/far away from Allen most of the time so he is forced back to Agger/Skirtel. Allen has the ability to take the ball forward but has the last of confidence to do so as he knows we are likely to lose it higher up the pitch (see above) and that Stevie is not fast enough to come across and cover. Meaning we are exposed when we lose the ball as he is out of position. There are so many things wrong with the team for the way BR wants to play. StevieG is a legend but he is one of the reasons why we are struggling with the new style, mainly becasue he wants to force it too quickly but also because he is conserverving too much engergy and/or tiring too quickly. Therefore not as mobile as required. He needs to play off the striker where he can conserve energy wihout affecting the team game.
  12. If you send a space shuttle to the moon with a dodgy. O ring, you don't get congratulated that you got 99.99 per cent correct.
  13. But Houllier never scouted him either. Well documented that a camera man covering Dutch football tipped off Peter Robinson. Ron Yeats was despatched to have look and the rest is history.
  14. Don't disagree with any of that but they have left us short up front until the end of January leaving us to hope that we stop hitting the post and score instead. If this doesn't happen, another season written off before year end when we could have spent £1million more for somebody who would get us goals (although not a forward). Amortised over three years is less than the one week of salary saving for off loading the players in the window. This is context.
