I was watching Revista De La Liga last night and Balague said that he wouldn't be surprised if a club situated in the north of England made an approach for a couple of their players.

Real Sociedad are struggling with debt and he said that a few of their players are coming to the end of their contracts.He named Nihat as one.

Can't see what you see in him John. I've watched him closely and he is far too lightweight to be a success over here.

He can be a bit lightweight ala Garcia mate but I have seen him runs games from midfield and he was booked more than his fair share last season so he can put his foot in and I think that is what has stopped a top club coming in for him his temperament and he does tire late on in games but he is capable of moments of brilliance especially from dead ball situations and has a great left foot, he is still young enough to improve those sides to his game as well.

 

I was gutted on Sun mate I was waiting on them to win all my others had won and my fave Spanish side let me down. Dave said you were giving him updates on the game. I would have won a 100 bleedin quid as well.

Nihat is fucking quality. The other one might be that Prieto, a young winger, we've been linked with him a few times.

Yeah I was telling him how good that Alves looked and he wanted to be kept updated because of your bet. I was willing them to win after that but they struggled up front. That lad they have up front - Llorente I think - doesn't half remind me of Crouchy. Really tall and a bit awkward moving but great touch. He'll be good in the future I reckon.

 

It was a good game actually. Alves is a fucking cracking player. First time i've seen him.
