They are. And I hope that they are ultimately released unharmed. 
 

But, Hamas should just make a statement that they’re not actually kidnapped but are being held under “administrative detention” and then the majority of the world would turn a blind eye to it.

Apparently Israel informed Egypt that it would bomb any trucks carrying aid to Gaza. That would be classed as a war crime wouldn't it?

Can someone who knows these things explain why the Egypt Gaza border is being closed?

I genuinely don't understand this aspect of the regions geography. Is it controlled by Gaza and the Egyptians or does Israel just decide to shut it down. Seems the Egyptians have closed it but don't get it.

Sometimes I also misread Gaza for Gazza, and that too also virtually always makes sense.

The IDF said Palestinians should flee to Egypt the other day. They have since backtracked on that statement.
