Not sure how that's totally disagreeing with me as I don't think I was saying the opposite of that. Boehly has absolutely fucked them. He's overpaid massively for pretty much everyone he bought and given them contracts that encourage laziness and players getting too comfortable. Too many new players at once, too many young players thrown in together, and all on way too money.

 

I don't think it's as simple as they bought shite players though. I think it looks that way because of the environment they've come into. Some of them are defo shite, but others would probably look boss if they were playing for us. Enzo, Caicedo, Nkunku and Palmer are all good players. Some of the others (Badiashile, Jackson, Disasi, Gusto) might look a lot less shit if we'd bought them.

Yeah. That’s fair. In retrospect, I was also thinking of what you said on the pod about them not performing that badly. I thought they were wank apart from in a couple of moments going forward. They were absolutely horrible without the ball. An incoherent mess of a press; some going, some staying and all getting run ragged. 
 

I guess I just want to massively emphasise the fact that the original market distorting oil cunts are a fucking shambles with little to no hope of being even vaguely decent in the foreseeable future.

Yeah there's no way back for them any time soon. Spreading out the fees over the length of time they have means they can't spend for four or five years now, regardless of which home grown players they sell. Clubs know they're fucked and will play hardball. Spurs will probably get them down to about 20m for Gallagher. We might even go back in for Colwill at some point.
