This is gonna blow your mind Harry but every recent World Cup sets record overall viewership. It may have to do with a number of newly available streaming platforms available during that time. And the extra billion people on earth since SA 2010.

In other news:

Qatar and FIFA are under fresh scrutiny after thousands of empty seats were seen in Monday’s World Cup matches.

There is also bemusement at the official attendance figures as every game so far has a record which is higher than the capacity of the stadium.

It happened in previous World Cup tournaments as well. Nothing new.

On the armbands - from the Qatari WC head:

"From day one, we have said everybody is welcome. We have also asked for people to come and respect our culture, our religion.

"It's not a Qatari culture or Qatari religion, these values are regional. It's for the Islamic world, the Arab world, the Middle East."

Seems like three different things there no?

I just want everyone to know that I gave a lot of reps to Jurgen Knows throughout this thread. He obviously paid me a lot of money and sent over a few camels.

Otherwise he wouldn't have received any form of encouragement from me for trying to bring up a balanced view addressing the moral superiority and double standards many of us exhibit regarding the issues he raised.

I’m thinking to do a small video to educate you about this.

Anybody who comes on her to rile up the most anti establishment set of supporters in the PL,possibly even the English league system is obviously a massive WUM. Either that or it's Fanchester returning to exact revenge on a rival group of supporters while taking a supporting role about his club's,obviously, morally superior owners. Abu Dhabi do.

I said before that if this was a Chelsea or Millwall forum I wouldn’t have bothered. Because this is the most anti establishment set of supporters, and because the city of Liverpool itself has suffered similar stereotyping and derision from the rest of the country, I expected at least more of the John Barnes reaction here. But when it comes to the Arabs it seems to be ok even here. No problem. We live and we learn.

Nice one for the continued wumming and total ignorance of what is actually being said.

What did you think of T.E. Lawrence?
